Bud hardeners

I just recently picked up some Gangster brand organic frost. It is a finishing and flower hardening enhancer.Ive never used stuff like this before and its like nothing ive read about. It contains monosaccharides which from what ive read is the building blocks for sugars.I have read about other finishing products and they are all kelp based or are granular, some say dont use it some say its worth the time.
So being that its "the building blocks for sugars"isnt the Frost a super concentrate carboload to be used in the last days of bud?
On the side of the bottle, instead of a guaranteed analisys (n/p/k) its more of a nutrition fact that you would find on a consumable productie 227 calories/15 total fat grams/0 total carbs.
On the bottle it says 0 carbs but isnt sugar a carb and if monosaccharides are the building blocks for sugar this bottle should be one big concentration of carbohydrates Does anyone else have experience with finishers and hardeners that is willing to give advice?I have been all over the internet but i cannot find where one person has ever tried to use this stuff or a product similar to it ( a product that use only monosaccharides)

I've not heard of that hardener... I always use ROX :-

Rox is a nutrient supplement designed to substantially enhance the yield and quality of your plants. A very powerful flower enhancer indeed. Application 5ml per litre soil, 3ml per litre hydroponics. Used in 21st - 35th day of flowering. For best results run along side a PK boost either; Fox Farm Beastie Bloomz, Hammerhead 9/18 or Canna PK 13/14.

Rox is used from flower day 14 onwards for a couple of weeks or even longer if you want to spend the money, it is not cheap at £75 per litre, thats US$150 or there abouts. At a recommended 3ml per litre a one litre bottle does not last long.

Some might remember an old product called Super Bud, it stopped the plants growing and some said it helped produce fat colas. This is a similar product except it will not screw your plants up and is not toxic, so win win then.

Hope that helps ya dude - STELTHY :leaf:

Yeah this hardener comes in a little bottle with a cheapy label on the front, butthe guy at the hydro store swears by it,so i think ill try it on a bach. This Rox you speak of,what are the ingredients.Im just curious to see the similarities or the not so similarities between the two brands.
The brand i got,if you take a cup of regular tap water and add some frost to it,the frost actually takes the ppm's of the tap water down.I dont know what this has to do with fatter buds but it looked pretty cool when he showed me.LOL
Thanks for the reply stelthy

use a 1k hps and no need for additives. My buds are like rocks...no need to add anything extra.

even my sativa's

I'm not saying its snake oil at all, I know humbolts gravity works and helps bud density and inter-nodal spacing. I feel if you have the right lighting you don't need it.

don't mind the shameless plant plug on my behalf.

Chemical idiot! Go ahead and sell it! YOU could be charged with a crime! You got some more "learded"ing to do.....What an ass - not funny!

What is the name for the stuff ??? Y he hardener
That hasn't been made in years buddy!

Things to get "harder" buds...

#1: Use enough light intensity for the area. A 600 will do indica's ok up to a 4X4 area.....A 1K will make everything better!
#2: Manage your heat properly. Ambient temps around 75F.....never over 85F!
#3: Feed properly. Use the right nutrients at the right time! Don't start bloom nutrients till week 3 after the flip to bloom, and then only 50/50 mix with veg/bloom. Go 100% bloom at week 4.......

You don't realize a joke when you read it? Chill out. BTW I am not in California where it is banned so it is not illegal. It's even for sale on amazon. But you probably already knew that.

Even if I were actually suggesting someone use it, someone that doesn't know about it would have to search it, and all the warnings and info are very prevalent.
