Thanks polishfalcon420. Yeah the widow is fantastic smoke. This is my second time with the widow. First one was in soil and these ones DWC, after these results i have no plans to ever use dirt again.
I'm 99% sure i see a female preflower one one of my plants. Is it unusual to see fem preflowers before the male "balls"?
from what I have read on here the males usually show first if Im not mistaken but it was the opposite in my case as the males were the last to show.

Well it's been a while since I posted on this thread. I thought it would be better than starting a new one. I had many problems this last week, I think I have them all sorted out now.
So I have 3 females, I call them Peri, Romana, and Sarah Jane. Romana is the biggest most dominant. I tilted the net cup and kind of bent her at an angle so i can keep my light lower. She has some light burn at the top, I'm not that worried about it though she is a tuff plant.
Some pics of my ladies 17 days into flower.

My res temp before lights out was 72F. That is a little high. I was thinking of putting some ice into like a womans nylon stocking thing and hanging it in the res. I could place it in the corner well clear of any roots.
Is nylon ok to put in the res?
Do you think this idea will work?

That is just slightly high, but not aweful bad if it doesn't get any higher.
As a temporary fix that might work. Perhaps in baggies on the lid would be better. I jsut fear ice in my tank or near the roots.

I've heard bad things about putting ice in the res. 72 is not bad. As long as it does not get above 75 you will be fine.

Hello, I took some pics. I don't know if the pics are all that good but I'm going to post them anyway.
21 days of flowering 3 white widows.
My largest plant is now 38 inches tall even with the net cup tilted and the bend I've putting on her.
May have to tie down.

I ran my pump and tubes 24/7 for about 4 weeks.
Yeah, the bubbleheads are great. The group is very kind and helpful. I have learned alot from them and I'm sure I'll learn plenty more.

ya dude 24/7 on everything till the roots hit the water and then take out those air pumps as fast as possible cus if they are in there any longer u will begin to have problems and leave those air pumps in there on 24/7 for the entire time ur growing these plants

The first time he said air pumps, he actually meant water pumps. You want to have the water pump and feeder tubes and air pumps going 24/7. After about 2 or 3 weeks, the roots will have hit the deep water. Once all the plants have roots this long, remove the pump and feeder tubes because they are no longer necessary. After removing the water pump and tubes, leave the air pump running 24/7 for the rest of the grow.

I have a question,
After the roots hit deep water is it still necessary to maintain the 2 inch gap of air between the bottom of the net cups and the water?

There is a window of inbetween being too much and not being enough Oxygen or Air for the roots.

If they were 100% exposed to air, for a long time, like all day, then decay (root rot) would start.
If they were 100% submersed under water, for a long time, like all day, then decay (root rot) would start.
Seo we seek that window in the middle .

When in VEG, AFTER the roots are in the water, if we Drain the tank, and expose the roots to an AIR bath for ten to 20 minutes, they will get a large dose of oxygen and we will see a growth spurt in height. If that Air bath lasts too long, then we get bad results.

That Air POCKET is a way of spliting the difference 24/7 and keeping that WINDOW open.
