allright folks here it is, my first grow journal of my second indoor grow. my first indoor went ok but i figure it would be a good idea to post here to get help from anyone so inclined. what i have is 11 bubblegums grown from seed from serious seeds(well seedbay technically, which by the way is a great site, totally satisfied with price and shipping) 2 strawberry fields from seed(yes REAL strawberry fields, not strawberry cough) i got from a quarter from my friend in ohio who grows them outdoors. and two mazar i shariff that were free from seedbay(there were five mazars but i culled the weakest. free seeds not as quality as serious seeds, go figure.) i have them in fox farm light warrior soil but am transplanting soon to bigger planters with a mix of ocean forest and light warrior(2to1). they are under 250w eye hortilux metal ace conversion MH and will be moved out of box and put under 250w eye hortilux super HPS once males and rest of weaklings culled. they were put in soil as seeds 5 weeks ago. temps stay in 70's but will need more fans soon as VA summers get hot. ENJOY and drop a line when tempted and i will continue to update. oh and ps the one pic is of a mutant bubblegum(triple) cant remember scientific name for mutation but i know people like seein them.:weed:

good morning. at least my babies think so. I thought I would use this morning to describe nutes for my setup. pretty basic. I have the generall hydroponics 3 pack of flora gro, micro and bloom. I know its for hydro systems but I swear by this setup. I mix a batch for vegatative (3 to 2 to 1) in a thouroughly cleaned 2 liter bottle at half strength of manufactureres reccomendations. I also have another two liter I keep filled with filtered water (no R/O, too expensive) from a pur water filter. It cant catch every dissolved solid in the tap water but I'm sure it helps alot more than just straight from the tap. when I water the plants its on a 2 to 1 scale of filtered water to nutes. they have only been getting nutes for a week since they are only 5 weeks old. everytime I water with hydro nutes, the next two waterings are just plain water. this is to avoid nute burn or over fertilization. like I said the other day I am growing in light warrior but I neglected to mention that I usually add 10 to 20 percent pearlite to that mix. anyways, heres some more pics. and I learned how to operate a camera so they look better today than yesterdays. feel free to comment if ya see me screwin something up or if you have a question. till tommorow!

no new pics this morning cause I have to go to the hydroponics shop in an hour to pick up some new planters and some fox farm ocean forest! will be transplanting them today so I will post pics of new supplies and a quasi instructional guide for transplanting when I get back with my stuff. today will be a good day!

Whew! what a busy ass day! well here it is, the pics of transplants and new toys. i used a big ass bag of ocean forest(1.5cubic feet) with about .75 cubic feet of light warrior and a gangster line of that pearlite for extra fluff and stuff. I would type more but growing pot is hard work and steel reserve makes me tired. enjoy and remember, uhhhhh I forgot.:peace:

just a thought since you gave me some good input, with hot VA summers coming up you may want to keep an eye on the soil temp since you are using the ocean forest potting soil, i'm also using fox farm for my brand but when i went to pick up an ocean forest bag the guy who owns the hydroponics store i shop at suggested using the regular planting mix because it would keep the soil at a lower temp and its worked great so far, drains great(no need for perlite), and i've had no temp problems even yesterday which was the hottest day of this early summer for my neck of the woods (88 degrees outside) just a thought though, things look great!

Just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to the people watching my journal and to those that have already said such nice things(I didnt get a hemp shirt but I picked up some sick papers) I have some good shots today of the plants and more of the bulbs I use. the two different pics of the plants are with the M.H. and then moments later with the H.P.S.(dont worry I turned on an auxillary light while switching bulbs) and the last pic is the bulbs. the green one is for nighttime viewing. the tallest plant is at 16" now and the light cycle is switched to 12/12 so mass quantites of flowering soon(I hope) hope ya like and enjoy!:peace:

Damn pretty much exactly my set up except mine are in 5 gal buckets and you are using perlite. I can't wait for mine to look like yours!! Keep the pics coming!

another quickie update. just lined the walls of growroom with some reflective insulated sheeting I got from a construction worker friend of mine. I live near a master jet base(wont say which one) and as such I am paranoid of thermal scans. this stuff should help(and if not at least the placebo effect on paranoia is worth it). it also helps insulate one of the walls facing the front of house(no insulation IN wall) and ceiling. A/C is kicking ass but I still open my backyard door for co2 at least a dozen times a day till I hook up an outdoor intake. only problem will be to cool incoming air I suppose. will have to bob villa it. I'm high and rambling. gotta go play street fighter 4 cause I have put in alot of hours on hobby today and it felt too much like work. enjoy new pics!:peace:

been a few days. been real busy with garden. had to kill all males in garden since switching to 12/12. out of 14 plants starting I now have7 females for sure and one that still hasnt decided yet(afghan). this leaves me with 6 female bubblegums, 1 strawberry, and maybe 1 afghan. I also added exhaust to the garden(there is a pic) and finished A/C hijacking(pic soon) the tallest plant is at 27 inches now and they are only at 1st week of flowering. in the pic of the plants the one on the left is the afghan, the middle bubblegum and the right is strawberry. you can really see the difference in the leaves. last pic is of pistils on a bubblegum. damn they get long. well hope this appeases for now. will update again in a day or so. enjoy:peace:
