Bubble Hash from Moldy Buds

I agree that it may not work out. But if you feel like putting the effort in, give it a shot. If the bubble molds up toss it, if not you should be good. Give it enough time to mold to make sure before you smoke it

If the mold strain produces aflatoxins then you can't filter those out. "The aflatoxins will fluoresce green under the blacklight and any residual solvent will fluoresce blue."

I could see trying rso if you had lots of it. But last year when I lost 2/3rds of my crop to rot, anything that looked nasty got tossed. Everything that did get saved got a good H2O2 wash. Some got washed twice.

Wait, is it the spores that we're worried about or the toxins that the mold produced? If it were just a matter of spores, putting the bud in the oven at 250 for a half hour would be enough. But I think it's the toxins that mold produces that can make people feel sick even if they don't get a lung infection from live spores. But if you can wash those toxins away during your washing and filtration process maybe you can salvage resin glands?

Both. If the spores can be filtered out that eliminates one problem, if the mold didn't make an aflatoxin then you are good to go with filtration to remove spores. If there is aflatoxin present I am not familiar with a chemical process to separate it.

Spores are mostly just allergens unless they produce mycotoxins. Even with no mycotoxins present the spores can be a problem for immunocompromised patients.
In terms of flavor and smell, you are past the point of no return and nothing will bring that back and making bubble hash is going to magnify the shittyness of it all. You can try distillate or bho with the proper setups but please don't blow yourself up if you don't know what the fuck you are doing. I'd just write it off as a loss and learning experience.

They got moldy in the jars, I put them in too soon. They were actually quite dense.
i found a jar 2 days ago that i didn't put in my normal curing area and it had a bit of that same spiderweb mold from not burping /too much moisture.

i soaked it all in h2o2, all the white stuff floated to the top, scooped it off and am gonna try a run in the washing machine and see what happens. i'll do it after i run a batch of good stuff in case it turns out to be shite.

did you end up running yours?

oh, i'm gonna check what's in the bubble bags with a USB scope. if i see anything strange, i'm gonna chuck it. just sucks, it's a gallon container that somehow i missed burping. luckily i have 5 more that are fine.
I know man, I was busting your balls because someone hadn't chimmed in yet about the dangers. A lot of people don't understand that something can be done if it hasn't gone too far.
