Bubble Hash - Alpha Tech

Been following this thread. It is interesting. Not sure if anyone hit on the meltiness of 25 micron heads again. But something I noticed this weekend while doing some dry sift. I was cleaning up contaminant piles and separating the smallest heads that would fall through the 75 micron screen. I can tell you that those heads did not melt nearly as good as those larger. Not sure on the reasoning but thought I would share.

Nice info francy 8-)
The 25 is more strain dependent for full melt, mostly sativas will usually have some very great hash in the 25u, but indica dom have much bigger heads that end up in the 45 and up. Even the 160 sometimes will have full melt with indicas.

Hey yall,

If someone can help me o7t with a question I have that would be awesome.

I'm on the 2nd freeze and going to thaw in a little bit. I'm getting my bags set up now. I got themall clean (the bbest I could) and will be using a 220 and 180 for a work bag. I would just use the 180 but I want to squeeze the juice out of the bud in the 220 work bag so I know some particles will come threw, that's what the 180 will catch.

My question is, I only want to use one catch bag, I could use mor, but my ttheory is most people don't like the 25u because it's usually not full melt because the smallest particle leaf matter gets caught there, right?

But if the wash is so clean that it's only trich heads, would using only the 25u (to catch all the heads at once) be oOK?

Are all Trichome full melt jo matter the micron size? Or are smallermicron size heads not fullnenext?

Basically is 25u known as cooking hash only because particles in it or would the 25u be full melt if it wasn't for particles?

Should I use the 45u for the catch?

Any opinions would be appreciated. Just trying to pick the best catch bag and I only used one last run, it was the 45u
dude I think this method is super cool and interesting. last time i made hash I used 73 and 25 to catch trichs and the 73 always came out the best for me. but then, I was using icebucket method, and I never quite got bubble quality. close though.

anyway man I can't wait to see how that batch turns out! If it goes well then I will likely do the same with the trim from my next harvest. very cool idea. hope it works well.

Ahh bummer man! Usps has been slow as hell lately.

I've not done another run yet but am gearing up for one sometime soon and will report back 8-)

I got trim just waiting for those bags! I do need more trim too though :-/
you can never have too much trim. when I was living on the west coast, last time I made hash, this old school grower gave me like 10lbs of straight trim and sugar shake.... took my like 2 weeks to process it all. got like 6 oz+ of decent hash......... I need to find that guy again....

that's awesome lol
no love like that in Tx
i haven't seen trim in over a year

I never posted my results, my lack of experience with IWE showed that day
and pics didn't come out good

i used all 8 bags and got some melt in the 73 and 90
everything else caught the wrath of the hair straightener lol

Man when you find him let me know lol
Right? cool ass hippie guy from norcal. He just drops off these two cardboard boxes full of high grade outdoor trim. said if I processed it all he just wanted half of whatever I get out of it. I even recycled most of it after the hash process and still got some good oil out of it, which ended up helping me out a lot when I got in my car accident around that time. had some upper back and neck injury and could not even lay comfortably. one or two caps of oral canna oil and I was sleepin like a baby. Love this plant!:weed:

So sadly it's a no go today.. it looks like someone pulled it out of the freezer yesterday so it's all thawed out.. pretty disappointed but I threw it back in the freezer today so we see what happens...

the size indicate the ripeness of the resin by that I mean that there is much less resin formed inside the gland than in the higher microns
