i was thinking about doing hydro in one of those 16 gallon black rectangle plastic tubs. should i look more into this option?
I would look into it yes.
But I would need to know more about this bucket your talking about.
Here is my idea for you.
Lets say the bucket is very larg like 4' long and 18'' tall and mabye 2' wide you could put a plant every 8" on the lid and get your 12 plants.
Here what Im talking about:
_________
P P P P P P
P P P P P P
_________
Every "P" stand for your plant and the boarders of the drawing is the edge of your bucket.
From here you wpuld just need to make it and install aire stones every foot in the tub/bucket for a total of 4 air stones.
This is what I can suddgest but for that many plants but if I were you I wouldnt go this route for several reason.
1. Its to damn big...lol
2. THats alot of water in that tub so that means replacing the water every weekish will be a bitch.
3. You will need alot of nutes to keep this setup going. $$$
4. If you would need to move it (good luck) if I remember right 1 gallon is 8 pounds (do the math, its heavy)
5. most tubs that size are not ment to hold that much water and in time will buckel under all that pressure, floding your closet.
The list goes on and on. I just dont sudgest this way of doing it.
The other ides I had it a diy dwc 5gallon bucket like Roseman is doing right now in his grow op. He i going to have 3 plant in one bucket and this would be good for you because you would only need 4 buckets (5 gallon buckets that is), or even 2 plants a bucket if you wanted.
This way you can let each plant grow about 2ish feet tall before flowering them. Then they have plent room to get big, mabye 4ish feet tall (thats big for a person growing for peronal use)
Ok its late where Im at so read this and let me know. I will keep helping you the best I can.
