Brown Tip On A Seedling In Soil

All,

I have a Maui Waui seedling about 4-5 inches high. One leaf has a brown tip. What could it be? Did it get too close to the grow bulb? Thanks in advance.

MizzMellow, here is a picture of the leaf with the brown tip. These are young plants and have not been given any nutrients. I have not checked the pH of the soil. Last night was their first night under two 65W 6500K CFL's. Prior to that I used one 300W 2700K. I was reading the thread on super cropping and wonder if that is an option in one gallon containers or should I wait until after transplant? Thanks for your help.

Being a first timer and not much of a gardener myself I don't have a clue. That being said at some point during my first attempt I quit freaking out about every little brown spot on my leaves and just kept doing my best to provide a good growing environment and my plants did just fine in spite of some brown spots here and there along the way. In my very inexperienced opinion your plant appears otherwise healthy.

I only really see it on one leaf, when did it start or have you always had it? i do have one seedling that has a yellow tip since it came out of the seed. so i ignore it. Also, i would honestly be nute-ing right now, my plants have nutes from beginning just VERY light. BUT as big as it is i would say start it out on LIGHT nutes. but thats just my opinion. take it or leave it but my plants are pretty healthy :D how close are your lights?

thats just light burn, tips will do that if your light is too close.
also, do you have a fan blowing across them?
