Brown spots on leaves - HELP - **pics**

Growing in Aerogarden and noticed these brown spots this morn, must have appeared over last 36hrs.

The bottom 2 leaves have always been yellow and weak since i got the clone, but now brown spots are all over those 2 and starting to spread to others

Any advice as to what it is? Mg deficiency or PH fluctuation maybe?

Ok thanks for the input, ill see if anyone has any objections then head to walmart for some epsom salts.

Checked PH of water and it was around 5.0

dumped rez and added distilled water and nutes. Then adjusted to ~6.0-6.5

That doesn't look like mg def. You had a pH problem that caused several nutes to be locked out.

I like to keep my hydro PH between 5.2-5.8... I think u need a better nute package or maybe just turn it up a notch. A ph of 5 in hydro shouldnt bring on that many deficiencies in 36 hrs.. Atleast it never has on anything I have ever grown.

sigh...yeah i didn't mean to let the PH slip so bad. Damn fox farm and there ridiculous PH lvls. She dosent look any worse this morning though, and the PH is still ~ 6.0 Guess ill give it more time and see what she does

The PH is normal and has been the past 2 days.

Never used epsom salt or anything for magnesium defincency.

Any advice? thinking of treating for magnesium tomarrow.

You definitly do not have a mag def, but for peace of mind add 3tbs/gal molasses every watering.

It takes more than 3-4 days for a pH problem to stop, even if you fix the pH right away.

hey man. just to let you know.
i got some info from so people on my thread.
apparently the lower starter leaves turn yellow in order to better use the nutrients for the rest of the plant.
but for some reason i still cant discover what the brown spotting is. ive got it on one of my girls and i decided to just prune the two lower leaves and hope for the best. and so far they have been doing excellent.
just thought i would try and give you some help

Alright cool thanks man. Yeah i knew the reason behind the yellowing of the first 2-3 leaves. Its the brown spots that scare me. Just sprayed epsom salt on em to see if its something with Mg def. Ill let you know what happins the the next few days. Thanks for the update tho sir

Oh yea, figured i should mention. Im using Fox Farm nutes but didnt purchase the solubles just the Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom. Could missing out on this be causing my problems?

After acquiring a copy of the Marijuana Grow Bible and looking through there Ive concluded that the issues with these leafs stemmed from a lack of phosphorus, NOT Mg.

Which makes sense because i was using a soil foxfarm fert for awhile instead of the hydro version, and the soil version had a much lower amount of phosphorus. Also explains why the problem went away a few days after switching to the right fert.

Figured id post in here just incase anyone else had a similar issue
