Anyone have any idea why the new growth is twisted and deformed? Any help would be amazing!

If you google broad mites, a link for growweedeasy mites will pop up first. That's a great page for info. I cant post a link because of my new member limits... sorry.

Hope this helps! Good luck..

I did some research on that thread topic and got down to using a microscope to look for said mites, can’t find any movement or similar shaped things under 60-120x. Any input would be graciously appreciated!!

What are some of the details of your grow? Temps, Rh, Ph of the soil. What are you feeding them, ect...

Broad mites are a possibility for sure. Hard to spot, check underside of a leaf and check carefully along the large veins, they will go into the cracks. Sometimes easier to find eggs.

Looks like they are on the edge of being over fed a bit so a lockout is possible if you are in hot soil or feeding aggressively.

Grow Details:
Temp Range: 72-80F
RH: 18-25^
Water PH: 6.4-6.7
Nutrient line: Fox Farm Veg (6-4-4) and Sup (>1->1->1) with 7.5ml of Urb Organics additive. I feed them one full Nutrient watering once a week . Usually on Wednesday. With supplement watering through the week once every day or 2 with plain water.

I don’t know too much about PH accept that this is my first grow measuring PH so a lockout could be possible but of what? Nitrogen? Would lack of Boron traces cause these symptoms?

Looks and sounds like you are watering to often. Probably also feeding more than is needed but it's more likely they are overwatered.

Lockout isn't only caused by ph being off. It is also common when plants are over fed, a topic you can google under search term 'nutrient antagonism' or 'Mulder's Chart'. The chart demonstrates the complexity of diagnosing anything when a plant is over fed.

Note the sharply downward hooked leaf tips on your middle plant, that is the classic sign that your plant is a little over fed, you want that leaf structure to be flat.

So I’m getting multiple votes on over fed. Only reason I water that much is when I check the top couple of inches of soil they seem to be decently dry so I water but I can see the resemblance of over feeding. What would the fix be? Slowing down on plain and nutrient water mixtures?

If it were me I'd take the plant out of its pot and have a look at the roots. If it's too damp it's easy enough to let it just dry out. The damage is done however. The new growth should get better but the old, damaged leaves won't. I'm not totally sold on overwatering but it's worth a shot. I don't think it's a mite issue. They're easy to see if you shake the plant a bit over a sheet of white paper as some always fall off then swipe your hand over the paper. You'll see blood streaks if there are mites.

Stick your finger in the hole in the bottom see if it's wet down there, don't judge by the top couple inches alone, you're drowning your plants, listen to the poster above

I water a plant that size maybe twice a week at most

.. let it dry out, then feel its weight, and only water again when it's that light again

Also have you calibrated your pH meter recently ? Check it out and pH your water to 6.5 for best results
-good luck

Watering too frequently is bad? How do you explain hydroponics?

Over watering is a concept of water logging your roots not actually watering a shit ton. And I tend to use the top 5-6 inches for test. I have 5gal smart pots so they def shouldn’t be holding much if any moisture down by the roots

So if your roots are getting water logged without you watering a shit ton, what does that tell you?

That it’s retaining water. But I grow in fabric smart pots. When they dry out excessively it tends to be hard dry dirt feel. That’s how I know it’s not over watering.

I’m using a home made soil mix with plenty of aeration added in to compensate for water retainment.

**Update**

I decided to let them dry out for a couple days till I was absolutely sure. (I.E. the forementioned) And gave a healthy dose of water to revigorate the soil. She seems to be doing better overall in color and growth condition but I’m still edgy.
