Our in-house testing shows red spectrum when plant is in vegging, allows thicker stems, stronger nodes and leaf tensile strength... when compared with lights that do not have such a high red spectrum. (we compared a Duet 250.6 and a Duet 250.10).
Duet 250.6 = Higher blue spectrum/ lower red = faster growth size / weaker nodes and stems
Duet 250.10 = Lower blue spectrum/ higher red = slower growth size / significantly stronger nodes and stems

but that's because white lights have been around for ages and they perform to standard.
