And i used 3 packets bakers yeast on the stir plate to make an aerated yeast starter...

well it immediately turned to foam and a few hours later started foaming through the airlock lol

So, i sterilized the syphon hose and pushed it into th airlock hole, poures the sterilizer water into this nice half gal jug and bada bing bada boom bigger tigger air lock.

Straight blow'n CO2 out

No im not putting this in my tent. Yu must be farkin high.

I will turn the fancy grains and hops into a fancy bokashi. I've got lots of leftover sour dough starter that would love to stay thriving and make friends with lactobacilus. Thee shall be in thee Bokashi.

winter ale. pretty dark and sweet. really delicipus 7% alcohol. i highly recommend the stir plate for yeast starters. this thing ended up looking like a loaf of sour dough on top of the beer in less than 12 hours. so that starved out any contamination that could have possibly shown up. but i am extra sterile as i work.

it came out to 50+ bottles and aome tallboys. the spent grains i mixed with biochar, EMe, and molasses to ferment into bokashi for my garden. that should ne ready this weekend???? rhetoric.. idk i gotta check my dates.

Whats ur setup like? I bought a blichman off my bro and a generic 12 gallon pot. The blichman isboverpriced imo.

I reccomend making a good manifold in the mashtun for better effieciency. You like sours at all?

Take a lomg time but when its good o my

i mash in a large cooler chest with a tap spout. i have a mesh stainless steel hose clamped onto it so when the mash's grain bed sets i can cylce hot water over top to sparge. its pretty cool ill take a pic tonight. i also made a wert chiller from a copper pipe coil and hose fittings. i have the hise fittingsa nd the copper pipe seperated by hosing so it's a little more flixible and if the hose clamps leak then they are further away from the kettle. i just use a 7gal kettle in my stove to brew though. id like a propane burner or induction cooktop

^^lololol nah that's something we did back in highschool. some growers here do that for CO2.

i promised pics!!1472939223565-218468474.jpg 1472939281300-1423153301.jpg 14729393543931177265403.jpg 1472939399823128221712.jpgand nobody cares about my kettle

prison hooch. the use bread for the yeast.
i used bread maker's yeast for this brew but i made a starter first because bread makers yeast notoriously just foams up and stops. so i used a stir plate and LME /water boiled and cooled to 80°F. i added the stir bar immediately after i removed the water and LME from the stove top to sterilize but not sear it since it's plastic. i mean ot is PTFE and could easily handle it but the magney inside may have broken from stress and idk

put some sugar in, it'll turn into more % alcohol, the yeast like it like beenies do.

trust me know :)
i know man. not my first brew by any means. i dont like alcohol that much though. i like the beer with the flavor of alcohol yes but once it's above 6% abouts i only ever want to drink like one beer. drunkenness is sloppy and i annoy myself. do you drink that stuff prunno?

thats cool. and my definition of a faggot is a loud annoying person who likely rides a harley. nothing to do with sexual orientation. but yea you're loud and annoying
