Breaking their necks?

I've heard of this technique for topping these sexy ladies called "Breaking the neck".

Like Uncle Bens Topping Guide, it allows for 2-4 main cola's, but since the neck was broken, and not cut off, it strengthens back up to produce a 3rd, or 5th cola.

Technique Specifics:
Gently massage the same location you would otherwise cut, slowly applying more pressure over time until you hear a "hsst" kind of sound, which leaves the top flopped over, limp. Because of this, the 2-4 cola's would form the same as it was cut, meanwhile the plants original top cola comes back with a bang.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard of this technique, and if it's safe.

I must have a green thumb I didn't know about. Looking at a stretched plant you just get a feeling something has to be done, out come the pliers, one squish and flop, next day she headin back up, a week later the lower shoots that shot out, squish again, frigin weeds, she's now 3 mo's old and looks like crooked cane, bud sites gallore just starting to flower. Works so far, better than cutting.

Supper cropping is a very effective way to train your plant. I don't think it belongs to the high stress family either. It's kind of in the middle. With appropriate amounts of K, and a health plant, recovery is as quick as later that day.
