Branching A SCROG From Birth -- No Clones -- Help!?

so basically i am scrogging a Barney Farm's Honey B and Blue Cheese both from birth -- they are both females -- and i really need some advice on what to do with the branching aspect of this scrog since it is from birth?

i am VERY limited on my space -- basically around four square feet of growth area; that's without reaching into the lights and fans.

so what should i do since branching is more difficult from birth?

i have the Screen of Green Bible (SEA OF GREEN BIBLE -- he accidentally used the wrong word when he published it) from this forum -- and it is truly the biggest help i have had -- but he has only done scrogs from clones.

so what are some suggestions for branching an indica and sativa from birth for a scrog cabinet grow?

thank you all dearly for your help. i truly dont know where id be right now if were not for all of you guys -- and ladies too. thanks everybody.

how far along are you? i would think you could possibly try weaving the stems soon as they pop out the top of the screen, try topping it a few times before it reaches screen maybe? im in the same boat gettin ready to try scroging a barney farms LSD from seed, you gonna journal this? i would be interested to see it.

haha i havent even installed the new blower i had to buy to cool my cabinet -- haha, another $100 i was NOT expecting to use -- but im hoping, Christ willing to get it all setup sometime tomorrow or wednesday, and then all i have to do is wait for my baby girls. then i can begin birthing them!

"weaving" huh? what is this "weaving" technique you speak of scoob???

YEAHHH i JUST read Uncle Ben's article on Topping for 4 Main Colas -- i am DEFINITELY DOING THAT!!!

yeah i would love to journal this, but i just keep wondering if that will just be "incriminating" evidence... you know what im saying? i would love to journal all this -- even the cabinet im building -- but i dont know just yet. i guess we'll just have to see what Christ has to say about it...

i honestly am new to scrogging but i was thinkin when you LST a main branch down it usually encourages side growth upward towards the light so maybe the same results if you weaved a plant through the screen horizontally and the nugs/sidegrowth would grow upward towards the light and anything that gets taller then you want it just top it and make a clone or something. something i wanted to try with mine

Good day Abefroman35, scoobster0503

"sidegrowth would grow upward towards the light" This I do agree. And is a principle worth following. :D HOWDY FOLKS!

Hi and welcome. I welcome you to scrog and you venture starts here. I suppose I should apologize for my thread being in hiding first "sorry". I will be speaking with a mod to help with that. I am a long time Scrogger and would be happy to help. I will direct you first and after reading the thread (take your time) if you have any questions comments please feel free. Glad to have another few new scroggers! Enjoy

P.S. Please return the favor by posting something of your own some day. Thanx!

Vegging plants using multiple methods ("bush") creates an ideal plant ready for screening. If the training is done with a horizontal plane in mind, introduction to screening/trellising is quite simple and less time consuming. I would avoid "weaving" and leave it to the basket makers. Unless you want a basket with screen/plant welded inside. Not the most easy to remove....
