Boveda too big?

I was wondering if I run the risk of fucking anything up by using too big of a boveda pack in my jars? I didn’t grabbed some 58% 67g packets which are designed for way more weed than I have in each jar. I’ve got 40-55 grams in each jar curing currently (“ wet weight”after 4 days of drying). Just want to make sure a bigger packet with less weed isn’t going to be problematic

It shouldn’t be an issue , it’ll just last way longer.

Super old thread but I was researching Boveda curing and read it. I've only had good experiences storing with Boveda, and I took the challenge a few months ago and cured 7 grams with a Boveda. I thought it smelled and tasted great.

I took the challenge too, mainly for the metal storage containers and have some boost and boveda in my recent batch, so far after 4 weeks everyone says the boveda tastes better, but we will see again in 8, 12, 16 weeks.

my experience with boveda is they have their place in a big jar you are constantly opening.. Use the 62% In the big jar, open it and pull a few buds into a smaller jar. Here it will get into smoke range (if it is dryer than 62% outside) If not I guess they could help your bud getting too moist.

If you aren't opening the jar, and things are properly dried for storage the jar will not lose humidity so they aren't important for that. It's more if you have a large quantity that you think will get too dry from opening and closing it.. like a pound . Typically when I get a pound I break it down into a bunch of large jars, and then I don't have to worry about it.

I enjoy my inkbird hygrometers instead of relying only on boveda. I took the challenge and didn't notice a difference, because both jars were stored properly and never opened.
