Boogy's Bubble Buckets-

Okay,,, so i decided to experiment with dwc after numerous grows of unsatisfied harvests using aero... Anything and everything that could go wrong with this method of growing did so with great achievement. I would like to thank Stinkbuddy and his diy set-ups along with the knowledge to help me understand the basics of growing in hydro... i soaked that shit up with a mega ton sponge along with the flooding of nutrients on my grow room floor from time to time from clogged drain lines... Okay,,, so my design was a little different than his but still,,, aeroponics fuckin suck!!! Hell,,, if it weren't for Heisenberg and his extremely informative thread on beneficial bacteria( i call it Jungle Juice),,,i would of never made it out of veg... Any how,,, I did an experiment with 4 dwc 5gallon buckets and all i can say is Dizzzzaaaaammnn!!! You know how you have that one girl in your room that isnt functioning well,,, looks like shit compared to the rest,,, and you start to look at her in disgust as the others progress,,, having debates with yourself about just chucking the bitch altogether??? Well for me,,, that bitch happens to be aero,,, Ugh!!! i was harvesting 40-50 chicks/month with a dry weight of 6-8 oz... my 4 experimental buckets did 8+ under a 400... Maaannn,,, i threw all that aeroponic shit in the garbage the next day,,, went to Home Depot and tried to buy every phukin bucket they had in stock!!! Im exaggerating,,, i only bought 40,,, 20-5gals and 20-2gals but it felt like the stores whole bucket inventory was in my cart,,, especially at the checkout when the cashier hit the total button,,, ouch!!! Okay so lets speed things up a bit... I currently have 5 girls in flower,,, 1 white widow and 3 jack herers @ 2 weeks and one critical that i just put in yesterday... Im fairly new to dwc but i do consider myself a some-what experienced grower... I would like to share my journey with my RIU family in the hopes of enlightening those with less experience and gaining the knowledge for myself to become a better cultivator... I can tell you from experience you did something very wrong on the aero to pull 8 from 50. Hell, i pull up to 6 individually in the rails. But at least ur staying hydro. Good luck.

what strain(s) are you running and how long do you veg??? when i had my set up i was only vegging until about 10-12 inches... converting to dwc i let them veg for atleast 6 weeks...

so here is a quick list of my equipment...
flowering tent= 8x4 with 1000w hps,,, 45 lpm air pump pushing 5 5/gal buckets for now( i have a 200w air pump on standby when i add more)... my goal is to keep 20 buckets in flower at all times on a perpetual cycle harvesting 10 a month...
veg tent=5x5 with a 400w mh( i may jump to a 600w but i really dont have any complaints with the 400w),,, 200w air pump on 20 2/gal buckets... both tents are cool with one 6 inch inline with their individual carbon filters along with oscillating fans for air movement... i currently have a batwing reflector in my flowering tent and one of those big ass sun system hoods for my veg... for the most part my temps stay in control never exceeding 85 degrees but soon i will be purchasing some cool tubes... i was told that cool tubes depreciate light intensity by 10% but I'm not sure how true that is... still,,, i would like to get my tents in the 74-80 range in temps...

I currently have 11 strains going in perpetual, but i have had close to 60 different ones over the last few years, all in rails. I veg for 4 weeks, 24-30".

today is week 3 of flower for 4 of the girls... i gave them a defoliation they will never forget,,, they like it rough!!! changed out nutes last week and still showing no signs of any deficiencies...white widow is a monster,,, think im gonna veg less on next run...

I'd give up on growing weed if I had to maintain and change 20 dwc buckets... even spread out over a few days would get old fast.

No shit. Im getting too old for that. My 4-6 buckets i run as extras in my rail room are a pain.

actually its easy for me,,, i use a submersible water pump connected to a hose to suck out 98% of the water in the buckets... afterwards,,, i just refill with fresh water,,, add nutes and adjust ph and introduce more jungle juice(bennies)... the buckets barely move if at all... i keep that extra 2% of old water in the buckets for the new bennies to have something to do when establishing themselves in their new homes... i havent had a single problem to date so i may be on to something!!!

If i was running all buckets i would do the same. I do something similar for my big res's but use the systems own pump

I don't have access to a hose so I have to fill up the buckets in the bathtub. Makes it suck more. I know there are attachments, but... ya know...
