I'm fairly new to bonsai. So far I have a japanese hornbeam, japanese maple and another I dont know the name of. I also have a japanese wisteria I sprouted about a month ago. Very excited for that one. The hornbeam flowered. I'll post pics pics soon. Have two types of fig seeds. Planted about 100 bodhi figs and 2 elephant ear figs. Only two sprouted in a pot. Then one died. Not sure.which fig seed it is. Hopefully the bodhi. Amazing root systems I've seen them had. Currently have chinese dogwood and japanese cedar seeds in the freezer. Lets see what you guys think!

Oh forum lol. How so? I'm pretty sure this is the part of the site that has to do with everything apart from weed. Unless I'm mistaken

Yeah. The wisteria was easy. Paper towel method. Pomegranates produce fruit 2-5 years from seed. All the others usually 10-15. Some sooner. My dad had a friend with an apple bonsai in a lava rock. Cool as hell. Around a foot tall and a foot wide. He'd get around 4 full size apples a year. Was so cool. The seeds you have to freeze suck just cause you have to wait so long. Wow look at those hornbeam flowers. They make great bonsai. I would like to have an azalea bonsai. And a gap maple. Those little red samaras are beautiful. Well. Just passing through...

Try Hornbeams and Ginkgos and Quince and Osage Orange. I don't think the jade will make as nice a bonsai as the Chestnut.
