Bonide root & grow?

Bonide Root & Grow 4-10-3

I just went out to try and find some super thrive with no luck... I was told by a nice gentleman that this stuff i got was equiv of super thrive and that it works great...

Anyone have any experience with it?

here is a place you can order superthrive if you want. there is no nutes in superthrive.
that bonide stuff is different, its also has nutes. its kinda like nutes with suerthrive already added.

Do you think its bad to give to 2 week old plants that arent looking the best or would it just hurt them more?

It seems to me that my plants growth has really slowed down to nothing as of the last 5 or 6 days... I cannot for the life of me find a PH meter anywhere around here and thats where i want to start, but i think i have some other issue going on and i figured maybe this stuff could help me out, i will try and get some pictures later on today to post up but they are not looking too good...

if your gonna use that, then go with about 1/4 strength to start with. once it starts growing, it will grow fast.

The recipe called for 4tsp/gallon so i used 1/2tsp/gallon and watered with that as a one time thing, i hadn't watered them in 3 days now...

Heres some updated pics, its day #14 for the 2 oldest plants and day #7-9 for the rest of them....

How do they look? The oldest ones really took right off in the beginning and now they all have had little growth in the last week...

Pict. #4 is all 7 after watering this morning....

If anyone would like a better blown up picture let me know and i can email it so its bigger... You can really see the colors better when its blown up before i attach it here...

what are you using for lights. if fluoros get the light within a couple inches.
they really dont look that bad. the color in the first 2 pics i had that on a couple of mine, especially my blueberry. you may have let them get a little dry before you watered, but its just a guess. you dont want to overwater either.
i would have to say that i think they will be fine just get the light as close as you can depending on type of light, and just let them go. they will take off on you be patient.
next time you water just give them plain water or next 2 times you water.

I have a 2ft 4 bulb T5 HO setup
and 4 26w CFL's for side lighting...

Im not going to use that solution (Bonide Root & Grow) again until another 2 weeks pass it was for emergency situational use... I just picked up some superthrive and i will be adding that from now on including next time i water them...

On a better note, i think i may have discovered the problem!!! Finally found a PH tester to use until my electronic digi one gets here, found it in a fish store and it only measures from 6.0 - 8.0 and when i tested the water i have been using it was off the charts above 8.0.... So i am almost 200% sure that is my problem!! ::crossed fingers:: Wish me luck and see if i can get some better growth now that i know i need to adjust the PH


I know I know it should have been done a long time ago, but i live in the woods and as it is i had to drive 2 hours to get to a store that i could find one at... Waiting for my hanna from eBay!!

hope that helps out. i have never checked my PH for growing. i have well water and seems to work fine. i do check my ph in my pool and hot tub.

Thanks, i hope it works as well!! I hope this is the issue i am having, i have a well but it seems the water is way off, this is the first time i checked it and the test kit i have only goes up to 8.0 but it was reading that or above according to the instructions so im gonna adjust it from now on i guess!
