Bong Water an Illegal Drug in Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS — In Minnesota, bong water can count as an illegal drug.
That decision from Minnesota's Supreme Court on Thursday raises the threat of longer sentences for drug smokers in that state who fail to dump the water out of bong – a type of water pipe often used to smoke drugs
The court said a person can be prosecuted for a first-degree drug crime for 25 grams or more of bong water that tests positive for a controlled substance.
Lower courts had held that bong water is drug paraphernalia. Possession of that is a misdemeanor crime.
The case involved a woman whose bong had about 2 1/2 tablespoons of liquid that tested positive for methamphetamine. A narcotics officer had testified that drug users sometimes keep bong water to drink or inject later.

Who says there smoking weed? There probably smoking Oxycontin then get the bong water out pour it into a needle and inject themselfs.

Doesn't matter....the residue in the bowl is already a controlled substance. This law would only apply to the few bongs in MN with missing bowls, or bongs with pristine bowls and used water

if i told a local cop about this he would laugh. bong water would be the LAST thing they would worry about

where i live a cop would rather take your weed(and smoke it later or) throw it away rather than filing the paperwork

i was caught with $100 pipe and a space case grinder which contained "obvious marijuana residue". i got a slap on the wrist and told not to get caught again. i was out maybe 160 bucks and im sure some shit head cop is smoking out of my beautiful pipe, but i have a clean record

inject bong water lmao - If anyone ever did that beleive me we would know about, if someone was actually dumb enough to do that chances are they would be to dumb to due it properly and kill themselves..so yea that shit woulda been all over the news
