BMO total NOOB

Hi there! I bought a aerogarden and i purchased BMO. I didnt wanna use aerogardens nutrients. Well I transplanted my sproutling into the aerogarden sponge and its been 3 days aerogarden set on herbs, Not sure why but my plant doesnt seem to be changing ... ANY the roots arent growing or anything. SO i guess my question is did i forget to do something? Did i not mix my BMO correctly? Do i need more than just BMO mixed into a gallon of water? Someone out there has to be willing to help me out get me going
