I’ve read it boosts trichomes production when you run a blurple light with sun like lights during flower . And if this is the case , how strong of a blurple would I need to run with my 4 Mars hydro ts1000 for a 4x4 ? Thanks in advance

What do you mean by sun like? Are you talking about UV or just white lights instead of blurps? Adding another light to your blurple will help simply because you're adding more light.

They call them sunlike lights , idk . I know more light will increase everything . Mars recommends 3 , ts1000s for a 4x4 . I went with 4 of them . The blurple would be to get the other color receptors in the plants that sunlike lights don’t achieve . Which has been said to increase trichome production . I was basically looking for someone to verify this .

What did you end up yielding?
Well it was my first grow ever and i had 3 random strains. They hermied on me cause my heat went out of control one night when my AC didnt come on, tent was 96*F . But after recovering with a lot of love the yield was right around 6oz dried from 3

I see . Been having mixed feelings about these lights since I got them . Heard great things and heard bad things . So far I find them to be extremely user friendly. I have all the drivers located to a board with a fan blowing on them for extra cooling .
I paid roughly 525$ for the 4 of them . Which puts me at 600w 1368 led pieces with 1.9 umouls and coverage is like 37.5 watts per sq foot . I’m just kinda thinking at this point how strong of a blurple do I really need ?

Maybe a few for your setup as an experiment. It gets warmer but i find its getting easier keeping it cool now that its almost winter here

I’m in a basement and all the drivers are outside the tent . And it’s winter here too . My room temp hovers at 71 day and like 67 night . Tent is obviously warmer . And when it’s not I have a space heater on a inkbird temp controller . Has a vent pipe running into the tent cause I’m too sketch about putting the space heater in the tent lol

I say go for it though , get a couple cheap blurples and blast em! If its too much, at least the leaves will tell you. Happy growing bro!! :blsmoke:
