Blumats

I’ve got a microcab with an aquarium on top with a single large fish as you can see in this Pic, seriously considering hooking up blaumats to the fish tank and seeing how the plants perform. The only thing I’m wondering is that I’ve heard fish water is too high in nitrogen for flowering? Anyone know anything about how this would work out? I run organic soil mixes.

Nice cab..
I'm going to show my buddy this thread(this post) so he can see just how simple growing can be..

Now for your question, yes the fish water is high in N,and can be to much for flowering(on a regular feeding) but the first few weeks,it will help & you will see the plant react to it(strong praying plants) for a few days after feeding..

I figured as much, I think I’m going to have to just dig up a small res instead.

Thanks for the replies guys

I have been running Blumats for a few months, they seem to work well for me. I'll probably bring my PPM down a bit after reading this though, I'm at around 1000 (100% jacks hydro mix). I read somewhere that you can run it full strength in blumats until chop, but I've got a bit of a salt ring at the bottoms of the fabric pots starting to scare me (week 3 flower). Anybody have pictures of how salty their fabric pots end up looking during or at the end of flower so I can compare? I've got a salt line about two-three inches up from the bottom, I'll look to get a pic once lights are on.

I'll likely setup a second room with them or some other auto top watering system for coco, current system is 2 large fabric pots (10-15 gal) per res with 2-3 carrots per plant and a drip line y split for each. I was tuning them daily when I got started, now I still check it daily only making minor adjustments most days.
Anybody know of any useful/cheap places to get compatible equipment (barbed fittings, valves, quick connects, hose, ect.), or have any interesting advice/tips/modifications about how to best setup a blumat system?

Is there a good post giving a rundown on the auto top watering system(s) that use those distributor plates at the bottoms of trunks and/or DIY info on same that I should have found for myself already?
