I love blumats.
When the pot size gets very large it works well to go with additional carrots and tune them together.

Ya I love them too, been working nights for a little awhile now and I would have had a real hard time finding the time to water them when I'm doing 12 hour shifts plus 2 hours of drive time each shift when it's busy. had last night off so I top dressed just to make sure it's there in case I don't get off for awhile.
These things are a life saver, just add water to my res with my water from my 2 dehumidifiers everyday and I'm good, then once every week or so I i have get a pale or 2 of tap water.

Saw a post on icmag by a user name Chevy cHaze, he posted something that I think might interest other blumats users so I'm just going to copy and paste it up here

Hi guys,
Just thought I'd show you a couple pics of my Deep Blumats that I have been talking about before.
Regular Tropf Blumats are extended with a plastic straw/pipe that's vertically inserted and goes down directly to the center of the pot.
The flexible drip line is inserted into the upper opening and this way you always get even saturation all the way to the bottom and the edges of the pot. Works great in bigger pots where you always end up with dry soil at the bottom and behind the carrot.

I haven't tried this method as I top dress under my drip line so it's a no go for me.
But it should work great if your running nutrients through your lines or you just hand water in your top dress.

Using this method I think you could get away with just the one blumat no drippers

Just your standard size. I find it's so much easier to tie them in or weave them around. Plus you can tie wire through the diameter in a grid to lock them in. Plus you can move em if you need to. Nets are way to permanent for me

I really can't say it enough these blumats are the shit. I'm using so much less water and nutes. Plants are growing ultra quick and lush. I have way more time on my hands and when I'm messing with feed it takes me 20-25 mins not an hour to hour and a half handwatering. No issues with them whatsoever no runaways or anything like that. Worst was I had to adjust about half of them up a quarter to a half a notch. Everytime I fill the res I run about a gallon maybe up to 2 out the purge line just to keep things clean. And cause I got nothing better to do now. Lol

You're making me more interested. In terms of growth, do you think that it's more like a coco or hydro grow in terms of speed and size?
