Blumat line algae problem!

I did a brief search and didn't really find anything, but I'm running advanced nutrients through blumats in coco.
Reservoir used to be in flower room but after noticing algae growth I moved it out where it now stays dark and cool. Cleaned reservoir thoroughly with peroxide and flush feed line as it kept clogging. Almost a week later and I don't notice the growth in the reservoir anymore, however I am having to flush the main line daily, and some of the dripper lines getting chunks of algae out.
Since cleaning the reservoir I have been adding about 2 cups of 3percent peroxide to 15 gallon res until I can get some 29 percent. Still seems odd to have algae continue to grow in the black line, and am trying to avoid any nasty chemicals. Any other suggestions?

I keep an airstone in the res, and use drip clean. Drip clean has helped with the lines clogging up....rarely happens anymore, and if it does it's near the end of the run. Drip Clean is made by house and garden. My res is only 5 gallons, and gets topped daily, so i'm sure that helps. I also use Jack's 3:2:1 formula...not sure if that is a factor or not. System gets broken down and cleaned after every run, multiple flushes of HOT soapy water. Not sure if it helps, but that's what i do, and i don't have any issues.

I forgot to mention I do have two airstones in the res, I've been meaning to grab some drip clean, might have to be my next try. Going to try to flush line out real good, hopefully that helps

i think that you are underestimating the power of peroxide, and adding too much too often. this causes some reactions and murky water and a lot of residues floating around instead of settling at the bottom, and hence going through your lines. I use peroxide like once a month, when i think that i need it, and in little quantities. i add 0.5ml/Liter 35% food grade h2o2 which is equvialent to adding 5ml/liter of 3% stuff, so when you are adding 2 cups very often, it is adding up because it takes days to comletely go away, and its effect is long lasting

I thought that may be the case but I checked last night and there is definitily still growth, so today I'm running a strong bleach solution in reservoir and through lines periodically (not into the pots, F that), and then I'll give it a good flush and try again. The stuff in the lines looks like algae, but wtf is growing on the bottom?? I also noticed floating clear slime balls while emptying nutes. 1112161810.jpg 1113160657a.jpg

damn if i see something close to that, i would be scrubbing the bottom of my res and take apart the lines for cleaning then reassemble all with a fresh new res.

I did that, maybe 3 or 4 days ago. Scrubbed res with peroxide, then flushed lines with peroxide solution. Refilled with fresh nutrient solution and peroxide for good measure. Next day, lines gooped up again. Hopefully whatever survived that will be had with the bleach.

What all AN nutes are you using Dr.4:20? Got to something you're using that's promoting such a snotty looking mess. I've never seen anything like that in DWC after 40+ tubs.

maybe an amphibious creature is living there, slipped out and hid while he was cleaning, now is back to make a mess... i would not dare put my hand close to that water surface

Lmao, would have to be a damn small one. Using connoisseur a and b, b52, big bud, bud candy, nirvana, protekt, and botanicare Calmag. That's the only thing I could think of is that maybe something went bad

One of your bottles has 'soured' for lack of a better word. I had a bottle of Botanicare Grow that was rotten, big chunks o' shit in it. My fault though, left it in the tent during 24/0 and left town for 3 days. I toasted it bad. I didn't notice originally, and kept using it until everything in my garden started failing. I recovered, but it took weeks, and severely compromised yield. Just my experience, don't know if it applies here.

Buddy of mine had problems with sludge and shit in his RDWC not long after he added Bud Candy. I's the sugars in there that feed the snot monsters I believe. You must be running a rez to feed those Blumats, had to Google those, so may be having the same issue as he did. He never posted pics but we were chatting about it in the shoutbox on another forum. I taught the mofo how to grow and never even got some of the bud he cranks out in a 10x10 flowering tent! :) Crops over 4 lbs/mth with that setup.

I would just hand-water in some of the bud candy and not use it in the rez and see if that clears up your issues. Mainly to feed the micro-herd in soil grows more than the buds. I use un-sulfured organic blackstrap molasses in my ProMix HP/ProMix potting soil blend that has Myco-Active in it as it seems to help and is way cheaper than Bud Candy.

Just looked up that Protekt and for sure you always want to add your silica product first. The pH will shoot up but should come down after addiition of nutes. At least it does with the Rhino Skin from AN. I couldn't find the Rhino when I was loading up on nutes and supplies while in BC all August so bought some CannaMax Labs potassium silicate and it bumped up the pH of RO water to 8.6. I knocked that down to around 6.5 before adding nutes and it seems to work fine. Got Rhino now so anyone want to buy a 500ml bottle of CannaMax for cheap? :D

I honestly haven't been adding the silica first, didn't think it would matter that much. It did cross my mind earlier today that maybe I should hand feed all the extras and run a straight up base nutrient reservoir. Makes sense that the sugars could be feeding the grime. One thing I did add this last time is the Nirvana, because I forgot I had it.
Getting away from AN as soon as I run out, too damn pricey. Off topic, but of the cheaper options what would you go with, Dyna, Roots Organic, FF, GH? Feel free to weigh in
