@eastcoastmo it's likely they will pop. I've popped seeds as old as ten years and you'd never know. As long as they were well stored or at least not abused they have a chance, take the swim :D

We ran BB from Emery in about '05, crazy uniform and very very good. They did herm though towards the end. *edit, from what I recall, it was more of a banana throwing fest on nearly finished buds more so than "hermaphrodite".

I ran grape krush, true blueberry, blueberry, f13, & flo. Ran OTM and BMS but never saw them bloom. I still keep a stud f13 male. Looks a lot like your typical "flo" in veg and can put out some mutants as well as uniform pretty cannabis progeny.

i paid 25 bucks per seed for 5 dj short bb seeds,, not 1 popped.. the seed bank i ordered from was nice enough to gift me a hundred dollars worth of replacement seeds but still.. i think blue berry is way over priced.. i also have 10 bb seeds from bc bud depot and 10 spliff bb's,, i had some really nice plants from both..maybe ill buy some dutch passions bb?? is anything close to the old real dj blue berry today?? i refuse to give money to dj short after that wasted hundred...but i really do want the strain

The straight up BB from Marc Emery ~'04ish was nothing like any of the True Blueberry I grew. The True Blueberry and the F13/Flo had more in common than the BB and True Blueberry. FWIW.

I remember something at the end of 2008 or 2009 (earlier?) Red had posted at IC that they(?) lost a bunch of parent stock that made up a bunch of the beans. That's what prompted me to keep an F13 male going. I love that line with its crazy mutants.

Yeah I'll definitely give them a shot when I have some space, they've been stored in a fridge since I got them!!

You are right too, the bb from Emery grows nothing like the bb and true bb these days. I never had issues with nanners though. Would surprise me if some showed up though, the highland thai is well known to throw nanners!

That was 10 seconds of looking. But if you choose to believe JD Short has not spent time on the internet talking about patents and sueing, until he got ran off every forum, well believe what you want...

Let's ask him straight out..

Hey, JD, is it ok for the people in this thread to make f2s with your dad's pre 2000 blueberry and give them away or sell them?
Can we all have permission for that?
How are you going to make f2's from f5's? I can't give you permission to do something that isn't humanly possible...lol

Are you going to call you f6's that you made from f5's Blueberry?

And if memory serves correctly that statement I made was contextual. Someone was upset because the topic of patenting was being discussed and someone said dj was going to patent his work and sue anyone using it which I corrected and said he had no intention of but iterated it sounded appealing to me. Although in hindsight the word I was looking for was probably 'entertaining' and not 'appealing.' And I was being a smartass to rile the feathers of people like you who wanna knock-off someone else's work and take credit for it. If you don't mind quoting me, perhaps you can provide a link to the entire thread so we can all see the context in which it was stated.
