Blue Widow good to go? W/ pics

Hello all. I believe this is my first post on Rollitup. Good site with good people. I have been growing for years and have zero experience with Blue Widow which lead me to this site and the following question. My dilemma is that her trichomes say she is good to harvest, however many of her pistils are still ripe and premature. Is she ready to be harvested? Could this possibly be unique only to the Blue Widow strain? I have grown many strains in the past and all have matured within good timing of each other (milky trichomes and pistil coloration). I was planning on beginning my usual darkness photoperiod prior to harvest tonight, however I can postpone a day or two. Any input is appreciated. Thank you and happy vapor trails.

Thank you for the responses and welcoming. I was thinking the same thing. When in doubt I usually wait longer. This weekend was supposed to be the end of my previous "additional" week. However, too many Blue Widow grows with too many variables make it difficult to determine approximate flowering time. Seed companies say one thing but your girls always tell you another. I just love the complexities of cannabis.

I LOVE Blue Widows!!! She looks good, how far along are you in flower? Mine always take a little longer than usual, 8-10wks grown in organic soil.

Thank you all so much for the helpful input. I am currently on day 69 of flowering. I just finished my 48+hour dark period prior to harvesting my Sour Diesel. And instead of relocating my Blue Widow, I chose to leave her in there for the dark photoperiod as well. I must say that i was worth it. Both of my girls have pushed out and enormous amount of trichomes as a last ditch effort prior to harvest. However, I did not notice any real drastic change in the amount of pistil coloration. The Sour D is good to go, but the Blue Widow still needs more time. There are still so many premature pistils even though the trichs are right at their peak potency. As I'm sure all growers know that harvest can be the most stressful time. I'd hate to think I put so much effort and time into my girls, only to harvest them prematurely. I should mention too that all my grows for years have been done using strictly organics (feed the soil, not the plant). Idk if that helps with any diagnosis. I will be sure to post current pics in a few days after the full 72 hour dark cycle is over. Thanks again for the help. I love the Cannabis community. Its great that we all share a common love. Mine is the same, (silver haze) buds are giant and thick tricomes everywhere, even under a 300 x scope they look a little milky to amber but I got those while pistols everywhere and I think they are getting bigger every day. Im going to wait another couple weeks and mine seem like yours. I will go get a quick photo of one of the buds brb
