Hey Nate, briefly, BPN is a complete fertilizer that contains all micro and macro nutrients required for plant growth. It will grow any plant species. There is no such thing as a "cannabis fertilizer", only marketing techniques that many companies use to sell nutrients to cannabis growers. You can use BPN at full strength unless you are using a soil that already contains nutrients in it. Decrease the strength of any fertilizer you are using if that is the case.
Different species of plants require slightly different ratios of macro nutrients and that is where a good quality 3 part comes into play because you can mix custom blends for the particular crop you are growing.
