POSTS ON MY JOURNAL WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED!!

Hey there guys, I'm new here so you may not know me so hello nice to meet you! A quick introduction I am the moderator over at the Dutchbreed Grow Forum and I just wanted to start getting around to more forums. There are not many members over there so I wanted to hear a few more opinions on their work. Dutchbreed is not a very well known seedbank and in my opinion they deserve more credit for their work. They offer some top notch genetics. I have a near 100% germ rate from their genetics and they always produce some unique top quality smoke. They offer some amazing unique and highly palatable flavors, and some top notch very unique and potent highs.

Well I always grow 100% Organic and I avoid all semi-organic supplements. This grow is like always all organic and grown in a compost mix consisting of all the regular organic goodies. Blood meal, Bone meal, Bat quano, earth worm castings, kelp meal...

I am growing in a 5x5 grow space and using a 1000 watt HID light. I use Lumatek ballasts and Hortilux HPS lamps. My hood for this garden space is a Hydrofarm 8" Radiant Air Cooled reflector. Also for those who are interested I am using a passive intake system and I am venting the room using an 8" CanFan MaxFan. I line the walls with 5 mil black/white poly and put white side in except for the floor. I use black side up on the floor.

I currently am growing 1 Crude Oil, 1 Quick Silver, and 3 Blue Ice.

Before we begin let me explain "Blue Ice". Blue Ice is an unreleased cross that Dutchbreed gave some of the forum members. It's genetics contains a blend of Blueberry and Brother's Grimm's Ice Princess. Ice princess is a hybrid of a very early version of White Widow pre-commercialism and Cinderella 88, who happens to be the mother used to create Cinderella 99!

These babies are day 21 into flower, or 3 weeks however you want to look at it. They are already producing thick resin extending to the end of the fan leaves and even covering the fan leave stems, main stems and bud stems! This thing isn't slowing any time soon either as it is supposed to keep flowering until it hits week 13! This much resin at day 21 in my opinion is remarkable when they need to flower for a total of 91 days!

Well enough chatting, let the pics speak for themselves! Blue Ice first:

Hey there TONYJEJO, thanks for the interest and the good words! They were vegged for 1 and a half months and were left untopped. They are in 7 gallon pots. The Crude oil is 4 feet and the Blue Ice is nearly 3 and a half feet.

Here are some full plant shots and full room shots

First of all, thank you for the comments Chiceh and Geozander.

The Quick Silver that I have not posted pics of yet is not as high in THC as the rest of the strains but it is still a great smoke that has great flavour and quality of high.

The blue ice does not have a breeder's description yet but it's resin smells strong of an obvious artificial lemon-lime when touched. I also smell some fresh ground vanilla coffee coming from her along with a sweet sugary blueberry smell. Not so much like ripe blueberries but a cakey kind like a blueberry cake or a pie. Very nice to smell, I go to my room at lights off and just whiff the amazing aroma  .

Here are the breeders descriptions:

Quick Silver > description > Quick Silver has heavy trichomes covering the bud and leaves giving it a silver appearance hence the name Quick Silver. She is fast flowering , and has a silky smooth skunk taste to die for. Quick Silver is a 40% indica 60% sativa mix growing medium height with a medium yield.

Flowering Weeks: 7/8
THC level: 15-21%
Yield per plant: 350 grams (in ideal conditions)

Crude Oil > description > Crude Oil is extremely strong in thc, it really will knock most out in one. Crude Oil grows fat big sticky oily buds that when touched leave your fingers coated in oil that's hard to wash off. She has a good flower to bud ratio with a heavy cover of trichs. Smells and tastes spicy and fruity at the same time. Crude Oil is 60% sativa 40% indica.

Flowering Weeks: 8/9
THC level: Strong 18-25%
Yield per plant: 320 grams up to 600 outside (in ideal conditions)

Crude Oil -
Aroma - Very similar to the Autumn Fall in fruitiness. Crude oil also smells of fresh grown spices. Mostly spearmint but others as well.
High - Potent! Early or late harvest and you will enjoy what you get. A couple side branches were trimmed early and dried naturally, and they produced a very sativa dominant smoke. I harvested when the trichs showed half amber half cloudy - it lays you out on the couch while still giving some of stimulation. Perfect hybrid high, very 50% indica/50% sativa.
Taste - Tastes like it smells, a perfect blend of fresh spices and fruits. Pretty good smoothness, and not at all expansive.
Yield - Medium to high. I recently pulled 5 ounces out of a strange lower yielding purple pheno with cube shaped colas. The pheno with triangular colas is the one to look for for yield.

Quick Silver -
Aroma - A subtle blast of flowers, and super over ripened fruit (kind of foul, but enjoyable. It twinges your senses hard!) She also smells a little bit skunky.
High - Psychedelic! A true sativa dominant strain. She easily makes you hit your limit. Very clear headed and cerebral, wakes you up. I smoke it when I am about to fall asleep off of Crude Oil!
Taste - Tastes just like classic cannabis, with some mustiness to it. She is sweet, like sugar. Very smooth and mellow tasting, easy to go down but on the higher expansive side so makes you cough every hit.
Yield - Quick Silver has lower medium yields, but it makes up for it in potency. She produces airy buds, but they still have some fill to it.

Blue Ice -
Aroma - Blue ice smells of straight lemon-lime for a while, but goes away after a long cure and fills in as very very sweet and cakey like a blueberry pie. She smells like pie early in flower, and I was sad to have lost it. When it returned, his became one of my favorite strains of all time.
High - Clear headed with some muddiness to the high. Intoxicating and strong, but not heavy like an indica. It has these insane sensational effects with delusional thoughts and a very racey feeling. The high takes 30 minutes to fully hit me, making it very easy to miss the dosage on this strain.
Taste - Mouth watering mixed fruit with a light lemon zing. Slightly musty as well.
Yield - Medium to Heavy considering the parentage
