Blue Dream, Jack Herer, and Pineapple Express

2 weeks into flower, I've got two blue dream (back two in tent), a Jack Herer (front right), and my last Pineapple Express (front left). This is in a 2.5x2x7 tent with a 200w GoGreenLED light. I'll be updating this with notes on how I have trained each plant and how I've cared for them along the way. For now, here are some pictures where you can see the buds first starting to form on my even canopy! image.jpegimage.jpeg

Thanks for the kind words, chuck! This is my first grow without getting any nute burn so I'm really pleased with how it's going so far. Plenty of time to screw up though ;)

1 month into flower and everything is looking great! I have been stacking Tupperware and various shit under my air pots since the strains are all different and I needed to maintain an even canopy. It's times like this that I'm really happy I opted for an 7' tent!

Here is a photo of one of the blue dreams that underwent uncle bens topping technique.

All of my plants are looking great and filling out nicely with the exception of the untopped Jack Herer which is growing really stretchy with further spaced nodes. It's definitely the tallest of the bunch. Hoping that the buds start to fill out more and that the flowering period will just be longer image.jpeg

5 weeks into flower and these gals are really packing on weight! I feel like I'm finally getting the hang of this growing thing! I wouldn't be surprised if I get half a pound from this harvest.

The Jack Herer is finally showing a lot of bud sites and is looking promising. It will likely be flowering for 11 weeks as opposed to the 9 weeks I'm expecting the blue dream and Pineapple Express to take.

Here is the untopped Pineapple Express from G13 labs. I love this plant. The last time I grew it out I was much happier with the untopped plant so I let it go this way again. Because I hate seeing all of that wasted stem and my light can't penetrate as deeply as I'd like, I am considering 2 weeks of veg instead of the 4 I normally do for my next run.

Week 6 update! Plants are really filling out. Starting to see pistols change color so I'm anticipating chop right around the 8 or 9 week marker.

The Jack Herer is really pushing along. It's going to be an 11-12 week flower I'm guessing.

Here is a cute lil shot of my Pineapple Express top cola at the 5 week mark. It's only gotten bigger but I just love this picture

Week 8-9 update!

So I will be beginning my staggered harvest on Monday starting with the tops. These plants are absolutely beautiful and by far the best plants I've grown.

Here is a closeup shot of the main cola on the Pineapple Express.

Here is a closeup shot of one of the colas on 1 of 2 blue dream plants. They are incredibly frosty!

And finally here you can see the Jack Herer finally putting on some weight.

With the staggered harvest I'll be stacking up objects beneath the pots to maintain that even canopy. Can't wait to get these gals in my pipe!

Looking really awesome mate. The blue dream and pineapple express - look so different from each other - but equally delicious! Will be interesting to see what sort of weight you pull using the LED. Do you plan to make hash with the trim? With frosting like that I'm sure it would be bomb!

Part 2 of staggered harvest. Got another 3 trays of bud after chopping down the rest of the blue dream. One of them had a lot of purple in it. No idea why but it's quite pretty
image.jpeg

I measured out what I got for the tops and it's about 2.5oz. Still curing and smelling more delicious by the day.

The Pineapple Express started fox tailing a lot after I chopped the tops so I'm letting it go. No more popcorn bud on it and all is getting plump. The Jack herer remains untouched as it's still pushing.

This is the 15th week of flower for the Pineapple Express and Jack herer. I anticipate another 2 weeks before chopping them down and might even do the Jack herer as a staggered harvest while I get some new seeds in there

This is the same 200w light. It's amazing what so few watts do when you get your environment dialed in and have a few grows under your belt. I've seen such substantial jumps after each consecutive grow its unbelievable.

I would like to get the 300w led by GoGreenLED eventually... But not for any good reason. It's just addicting to get more and more haha I already grow enough to support my habit and smoke all my friends down

14 weeks into flower and the Jack Herer finally comes down! I really should have topped this guy, I had no idea what I was getting into. Way too tall for the light so other than the tops the rest was airy and thin buds which I'll be processing with the rest of my trim. I took down the remainder of the Pineapple Express as well for the last of the staggered harvest.

Here are the pics of the Jack Herer tops. I'll be bopping back in here in 2 or 3 weeks with my final weight! I'm guessing it's around 7 or 8 zips.

Finally started smoking the Blue Dream after a nice long cure and I think it's the best weed I've ever smoked. Can't wait to try this stuff out!

I actually use my trim to make coconut oil and make some super potent brownies out of it usually. I have jars full of trim ready whenever I run out :) I'm thinking about making BHO sometime out of it instead
What's your brownies recipes, I'm approaching my first harvest don't know what to do with trim

For the coconut oil I just use 1.5-2oz of trim for the entire jar of the coconut oil. I let the coconut oil melt in a crockpot on low and add a bit of water to use as a buffer. Once the oil and water are nice and blended I just put in my trim and add enough water to make sure its entirely submerged. I stir it every 30mins to an hour and do that for about 8 hours total. Strain it with a cheese cloth and put the shit in the fridge over night. The oil and water separates and I pour the water out leaving some super potent oil. I usually test the batch with a small teaspoon dose and see where it gets me.

For the brownies themselves, I actually just use any decent brand of box brownies that call for oil. I use the special oil and thats about it! The real secret to my brownies is that the lady puts a nice layer of chocolate frosting on them. They store in the freezer forever.

Seriously though, everyone compliments these brownies like they are king shit of fuck mountain and really the only difference is that we frost ours.

Also, its important to figure out what a good dose is with the oil. If the brownie box calls for 2/3 a cup of oil thats about 32 teaspoons and I say that 1 teaspoon of this oil is a very hefty dose. I cut the brownies into about 28 pieces, so each brownie is knock you on your ass strong. Most of the time I only eat half a brownie. Just make sure you're testing your stuff before throwing it into a brownie and eating it. Might be wayyyy to strong.
