Making this thread to ask which blue dream or blue dream hybrids are boss. I keep reading mixed reviews on hso's blue dream haven't heard anything about cali connections blue dream, heard of sin city's the rem, anyone grown these or have grown any other blue dreams or hybrids of it that are worth growing.

I'll bump this thread.

Good question actually and surprised no one has dropped an opinion.

I grow HSO's Blue Dream and it's a good all around strain but I wouldn't say it's boss. Or at least I haven't been able to grow it to that potential yet. It's very smooth and tasty once cured properly and it has good potency but nothing like some of the other top strains out there. It's a good daytime smoke for me and pretty good cash crop though. The plants are extremely easy to grow, probably one of the easiest in my grow room out of about 12 strains. Clones in 7 - 9 days in a bubbler in just distilled water and takes off fast from there. I've grown it indoor and outdoors and its a beast. Never a single deficiency and it has great yields of big dense frosty buds. Seems to me like it would make great breeding stock so I too would be very interested in hearing about some experiences with any of its crosses.

I have been searching 5 years later and I am still getting mixed messages on the forums.

On the Cali Connection version they kushed the dream with SFV OG and called "Blue Dream Haze".... counter intuitive and misleading, to call that they should have crossed again with Haze (or even BB) pollen instead of adding indica to it.

HSO might have selfed the Santa Cruz cut? No sure

I would like to find an opinion from someone who has grown OR smoked both (or another breeders) versions.

The HSO blue dream is absolutely not the original cut selfed. I honestly don't think the original cut was used at all to produce it, I think they just picked their own parents and started breeding. It's not a bad strain, but it's not great either and nowhere near as good as the original cut.

Thank you Rurumo, I will assume that same is true about the 13 other "Blue Dream" strains cataloged under seedfinder; breeders without clones that just crossed BB with SSH and are cashing on the name recognition? As a Sativa lover would you pass on the Cali Connection hybrid and invest time and $ one Cannabiogen Destroyer instead?
