Blue Cough

Apparently it's a somewhat rare strain however I got my hands on some seeds a number of years ago and I am now growing them out. I'm in week 6 and the bud is really starting to take on weight.

Mine seems Sativa dominant, however the parents are DJ Short's original Blueberry X with Strawberry Cough.
50/50 but again it's very clear that the hybrid is sativa dominant.
She looks absolutely beautiful on my current program.
Does anyone know anything about this strain?

there was a blue cough that had been shared in michigan, about 3 years back, because it had tested hi in cbd. that plant grew weird, it was from an S1 seed from a dispensary bud. most everyone let it go, as the better cbd plants came available. that's all i know. let us know how she turns out, great parent material..

Thank you for this. Here is a sample picture.
Do you remember hearing any CBD test results? This CBD news excites me. I'm a business owner that uses medical cannabis hourly but I don't like getting to messed up when I'm at work. Would you have any recommendations for some of the better CBD plants?

I germanated 8 seeds. 3 were weak compared to the 5 others and 4 were males and one of them was a female. I took clones from her to save the genetics for breeding later.

If it is a S1 strain then how do I explain the 4 males I got out of 5 plants?
Isn't an S1 a feminized strain?

S1 just means selfed, not feminized. I'm assuming the seed that was recovered from a blue cough bud, here, was from a self pollenating when the orig F1 was flowering. You started with regular F1 beans from bb x sc.

the only way to really know if your plant has any cbd is to have it individually tested. cbd is still rare. unless u know from a lab test, chances are low that you'll stumble across something with high levels of cbd. it's difficult to find cbd from seed. most of the cutting-only cbd strains I've come across have a fairly even ratio of cbd to thc, so you'll still get a noticeable buzz from them.

there are two cannatonics, huel perkins cut, which is almost all cbd, and a cannatonic #4 which is pretty high cbd. another that i like is star tonic (death star x cannatonic). dennis hopper kush is a new one for me too. tora bora is another one around. there are a handful of others circulating as well, but if it isn't one mentioned and proven, then I'd insist on a lab test to verify.

Yeah that's what I thought.

I'll keep her around until I find a good breeding partner.
