Blowers v.s. Inline Fans

I am just setting up a grow room and I am wondering why most people go with inline fans instead of blower fans? It seems you get a lot more cfm's from the blowers.

inline fans help direct air to and from something. blowers might just help circulate more. i bought an inline fan to take my a/c into my tent. then i bought a lamp hood with an inline airtake, routed the a/c directly to the lamp and my temp actually went up 2 degrees

if u have air cooled hoods then u get some dryer duct and run it to your fan to your light hood and it sucks air(hot air) through through your fan . i have my fans on the other side of the wall thats where the hot air goes,

It all depends on the setup. Bottom line, blowers are better if you want to push air, inlines are better for pulling it. Typically both carbon filters and vented hoods are designed to have air pulled through them. Therefore, inlines tend to be more popular.

I ended up getting a 1000 watt bulb so I needed the in line fan but still not clear why a blower set to blow out of box would not be equal to the over priced can fans..... so long as its not in ducting.

This is the only post in here that makes sense...... Go jerry rig some shit up,,, I have used blower fans to blow air through (main lines) and then just drilled 6" holes for my light hoods, I still used 6" inlines though......

If you want a quiet powerful fan then Can Fan HO is the best way to go. I have 2 sometime I put my hand on it to see it it's still working it's so quiet. Sick ass fan.
