Bloom nutrients before or after switching?

So i am wanting to start blooming both my plants now, but one plant still has the veg nutes ineem and the other is is almost depleted.... SO i was wondering can i switch to 12/12 now and when theyre out of nutes, THEN add the bloom nutes OR should i keep in veg then wait till both nutes deplete then switch the light along with the nutes? I'm stumped.

Keep em on grow all through bloom, bloom food is a rip off, bloom food is grow food with less PK so add PK at half dosage if you need piece of mind.

well im reading the label on the general hydroponics (i have three part gh nutes) and it says that there is a transition mix of nutes then theres a bloom mix of nutes. so i don't know if I should go ahead and do that.... either way they look preety healthy as of now so if i were to make a mistake they'd be pretty forgiving.

When I used GH Flora 3-part I did a 2-week transition. Here is the NPK ratios and PPM strengths of the label's 5 diifferent recommended mixtures:
--------------- R A T I O S
-------------- N-P-K ---------- K-Mg-Ca ------- PPM
Seedlings -- 1.21-1.00-1.82 -- 1.21-1.00-1.82 --- 126
Mild veg --- 1.21-1.00-1.82 -- 5.48-1.00-2.66 --- 503
Aggr veg --- 2.07-1.00-2.98 -- 7.98-1.00-3.57 --- 970
Transition - 1.21-1.00-1.82 -- 5.48-1.00-2.66 --- 1005
Flower ----- 1.00-1.28-1.59 -- 4.00-1.00-2.12 --- 1040

That's at full strength. If you use half-strength (which seems to be what most growers do), the PPMs would be half.

I used the "useless" schedule which is slightly stronger and a few more steps. I show its NPK ratios and PPMs here. (<<link). I also used Koolbloom liquid and powder. I show on that page how using them affected the NPK ratio and ppm. That might give you an idea of what's safe.

I like to stick with a higher nitrogen level for the first 2 weeks after 12/12, especially for sativas, rather than switch to the bloom fomula right away. The initial stretch is new growth and nitrogen supports new green growth.

If you have been following the label directions prior to now and the girls are healthy... Stay the course. Switch to 12/12 and start the feed program at the transition week on the label. Mix a little on the lighter side or make sure to get good runoff.

Unless your in coco, you really can't go wrong with the old tried and true recipe, which is on the bottle. But go half strength during entire grow.
So during transition, which states 2/2/2(tsp/gal), go: 1/1/1(tsp/gal). Or stick with the grow formula(7.5ml/5ml/2.5ml-G/M/B per gal) during transition especially if growing longer flowering strains, like most sativas, as the previous poster mentioned. I used to do this also;-)

It sounds to me like you're worried about mixing "grow" and "bloom" formulas. Don't be.
But make sure and water/feed until you achieve plenty run-off when feeding, and you'll usually be golden. Get an EC meter. Test run-off periodically. You wan't the run-off EC to be close to that which you put in(which I always max out @ around 1.8EC).

If run-off EC is higher:
You need to be watering with MORE nutrient solution everytime. This flushes away excess/built up salts, which is GOOD:-)

Or you need to lower the EC. Which, btw, is normal for the last couple weeks.

Or skip some of the feedings and water with only water. Something like, feed, feed, water. Which i've never been a fan of.
