Blinding Flash Explosion

My buds are about dry an it will be time to start curing them soon. My buddy asked to try some. I usually don't give in but he recently hurt his back.

I took a 3 inch bud with some stem and a tiny bit of bud on the bottom of the stem and put it in the microwave for 7 seconds. I hit start and herd a little crackling as to be expected and then after 4 seconds there was a giant flash like if you where to put a metal lined plate or foil in the microwave. I stoped it with 2 seconds left an the stem that was about 1/2 inch was gone and the ends where on fire. My eyes still hurt a bit, Blinding Flash Explosion!

I usually wouldn't microwave but this was sort of an emergency, but when I have this has never happened. Would you say it's the chlorafill or what that gives it that explosive nature?

Please any answers or speculation welcome.

By the way I know other ways to quik dry that does not invove tiny fireworks!

the trace minerals/metals sparked. I know magnesium reacts that way, on the news there was an article about this woman who microwaved peas and they reacted the same way sparking and everything.

The only guess I could come up with would the same conclusion you came up with on the chlorafill... crazy though that sucks that that happened... did ya smoke anyway afterwards?

Oh yea! It was the stem that was disintegrated the bud was just flaming on the edges but unharmed otherwise.

Smoked good no thought burn so whatever it is must of just been in the stem. It was Shiskaberry.

Wow That Suked Ass Though!

I guess haste really does make waste. Kinda weird. My water is rife with heavy metals. I nuked a piece not too long ago, but I'm micro-neurotic and won't let it run more than a second or two at a time. Flux the weed up anyway.

TRU TRU-- Ihave good water but it's well water so the mineral content is very high good PH an Alkaline reading though.
