so i tried to make blender hash for the first time. i froze the leaves and then threw them in the blender with water and ice cubes. i blended, stirred, blended, stirred, added ice, blended, stirred. etc. then i dumped it in a container and put in fridge over night. well this morning it still looked like a melted green smoothie and i dont see any seperation at all. just a bottle of green liquid. what did i do wrong? did i blend it too much? :?

update. so i siphoned 3/4s of the green liquid off and dumped the rest into coffee filters and it's just sitting there like the filter is plugged. i sure messed this up!

Thats funny man, exactly how my first time with a blender went. I even endend up killing the blender.

I use bubble bags now tho and that works very good.

Dont listen to those keyboard warriors dude. Mine was dry aswell. I was using the wrong filters. We fixed it by using a pantyhose.

i love your avatar. well the thinking is that freezing your material makes the resin glands break off easy. since they are heavy they sink. the rest of the stuff floats. so the layer at the bottom is resin glands. that doesn't make it "hash" so to speak. once you collect it and press it somehow you get "hash."

I did the quick and easy blender hash method the other day and there was nothing quick and nothing easy about it.

You have to mix the stuff in the blender and then set it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. You may have not waited long enough or waited too long that it has all separated again.

You then shoul dhave fluffy yuck with bubbles floating on the top. At the bottom you should have some fine sifty stuff. If you do not have any of this then you just might not have enough quality material to get enough trichomes out.

I hope you understand this
If not . umm. sorry:roll: I made sopme hash the other day and it is terrible but I have 5 jars of silty stuff sitting in the fridge.

i have made a few batches of hash this way. what you do is take your blended stuff and the water you blended it in and filter it thru a gold betal coffee filter, then you place the water that strained thru into a glass jar or something and i placed it in the refridge so it could settle down let it sit for awhile an hour or so. then strain the water off of the top of what you see inside on the bottom of your glass or so.
then strain this thru your paper coffee filter and what is left in the paper coffee filter is your hash
I hope this makes a little since

yea what he said^

You need to take the original blend, and filter it through something big, like even a fine cheese grater haha.

when you have that 'crud' gone, then you fridge that with ice cubes and let settle. skim, then you use paper filters on the bottom dwelling trichs.

If you let the water/sludge mixture evaporate, you may find what you're looking for. Put the filter somewhere warm and dry - in the sun, on top of the furnace, etc. Once the liquid evaporates, scrape off what's on the the filter.

you didnt buy the bubble bags or a piece of 80 micron silkscreen. you have to get the plant material out somehow put more ice in it to get it good and cold then put it through some cheese cloth. then run out to micheals craft suplly store and get a couple yards of silk screen if u wanna do it right get a yard of 200 micron and a yard of 70 or less micron this will seperate the trichs from the water. i honestly dont think you can just let them sttle and hope to siphon off the water. i may be wrong nut the water would have to evaporate and that would take days. so yea

dry it before blending morons!!!
You dont have to dry it. Iv made blender hash a few times, it works much better dried. if you want some hash quick it does work using fresh skuff as long as you get that sh*t nice and cold so the trichs get good and brittle...
