Bleach is used by some growers to keep things sterile H202 or chlorine are other options.
I'm not keen on using bleach, I use chlorine because it's much more economical than H202 and plants need it for growth it's considered an essential element by scientists/experts.

Sorry bud I'm not familiar with zenzyn.
Here's chlorine, with that you'd mix up a 1.0ec solution then use 1ml of that solution at 1ml to 1ltr for 5ppm.

@budolskie
I only use a small reservoir so i mix every 5/10 days and get by with one or two applications, if you're topping up you'll need to add more chlorine every 3 days iirc.

Ah i see i get what u mean I keep adding chlorine to the res every 3 days, i plan on using a 140ltr wheelie bin the smaller ones what the grannys have... for 15-18 plants see how they line up in tent the 47ltr res is to small for 15-18 i would think?

Yes i'd expect to be busy with re filling especially around mid flower lol...in a jam you can connect two vessels with a length of tubing between them.

Or 1 these as they have the stand and have a tap, waiting to see the the fittings that come with the autopot, emailed them to ask for bits to make it 3 lane instead of 4 and with not getting res from them, i dont no what bits to expect so waiting for them see where i go from there

When you make up the 1.0 EC stock solution do you use RO water? Or can I use my tap water that's 0.6 EC and then add 0.4 EC of pool shock to get a reading of 1.0 EC? Or if my tap water is 0.6 EC should I be adding 1.0 EC of pool shock on top of that to get a reading of 1.6 EC? Sorry for any confusion.

Edit: I pulled the trigger and went ahead and bought some pool shock

Bleach is just chlorine in a different form anyway. Sodium Hypochlorite as opposed to (I forget what the solid form is, calcium hypochlorite?). I use bleach because its cheap, readily available, effective. I just eyeball it. But i’m sure there is an optional amount. If your soil-less then it’s easy to see the roots. I go a bit stronger if they are going brown. But for easy root health you can’t beat it imo.

I use my nose a bit. If I can just smell
it, then maybe a bit much, but i’ve never done any harm to my girls. It keeps everything clean and sterile. Having said that, choose one or the other. H2O2 or Bleach. Don’t run them together. H2O2 supposedly has the added benefit of breaking down to H2O and O2 which may be beneficial to the root zone but personally I think that’s negligible. Having H2O2 on hand also helps soften up hard seed shells if you have some old seeds that stubbornly won’t germinate.

I used to use H2O2 but it’s expensive and a specialty product so if I run out it requires a special trip to the hydro store. Where as bleach I always have on hand.

Just don’t use scented bleach!
