Blaze & Daze

You’re all heathens
My oldest brother and I (#3) have referred to ourselves as Helpful Heathens for the last 3 decades plus. Although not a winning strategy, this was intended to goad the othe 4 siblings to help with the wellbeing/caregiving of our Mother. We've added more Hs along the way - now we're the Happy Healthy High Helpful Heathens.

In Jamaica, we were told KFC stood for Keep From Cooking or Kill Fat Chickens.

Warmest day here so far - it's welcome as the soil into the raised beds was still cool last week. Replanted green beans for second time now - hopefully this heat will be beneficial.

Yeah I would think now that soil would heat up and dry up enough for beans to pop. Like Alaska with being able to start this late with certain veggies still. Been all rain here for garden to just dry out, supposed to brushhog fields week ago grass is taller than me, I'm 6 ft,some is probably reaching 8 falling over.

Everything hurts except my head
I can live with that, for anxiety and depression, would rather be dead.
you can say that again. i feel exactly the same chronic fatigue syndrome, i thaught the aspergers, dislexya and ADHD combo was bad enough. but i fell through a barn roof, just b 4 xmas and im still waiting to get painkillers for it. that;s not so hard to deal with, but the rest sucks the life out of you

Started my afternoon with some weeding and placing more supports for my tomatoes. Got done with my gardening, still had some gas in the tank and took Roz out for a stroll before getting down with dinner.

8.8k steps. 4 miles.

Low 90s here. I could stand a few more clouds in the blue skies, but otherwise great weather.
Ending my day with an edible and the hope that none of you spent any considerable part of your weekend dreading the upcoming workweek.

Fuck our corporate overloads.

right on brother, FUCK EM :weed:

This was the day from hell, like literally when you consider the air temp and humidity. It doesn't address this in the bible, but I'm sure that hell is also quite humid. There were two spectacular crashes, one on the way to the gig, and one on the way back. The crash site to the gig slowed me down by 25 minutes, and when I passed the scene I could see why. It was a double roll over, a big pickup and what I think was a sedan. Hard to tell, it was so bad. Nobody could have lived through that. When I pulled into the gig's parking lot, I wanted to park as close as possible to the door. So I pull into a spot, but then I see a closer one, so I back up and start to head that way. Just then a dude pulls out of his spot hard and smacks right into me. I look at him like wtf? He makes a sorry gesture and I pull back into the spot to get out and talk. He then takes off hard, and by the time a figure out what was happening he was gone. I pulled out to follow, but I didn't see which way he went. Fucking asshole, there is a HUGE dent between the trunk and the wheel well. I feared it would interfere with driving, but luckily it doesn't. I was pressed for time, so I had to go and set up. I asked the management if there were any cameras in the lot, nope. I went to the cop station afterward, they were closed, so I'll go through the futile exercise of seeing what they can do later today. The gig was SO uncomforable, but I survived. On the way home, more traffic because of another nasty accident where a Jeep drove into a ditch at high speed. Not to mention another nasty crash scene in front of my fav Mexican place yesterday night, I doubt everyone lived through that one, either. I hadn't seen accidents this bad in many years. Five gigs down this weekend and I'm exhausted. It's in the 90s all week, and rain almost every day. No ripping, no nothing outside. The heat makes people crazy, and I've had enough of that lately. TLDR - hope everyone had a less eventful weekend than I did...
