Blackout??

Since the really hot weather is here, all the talk comes about blackouts. What would one do if a blackout occurs and their ladies are on 12/12 under CFL's?

i have back up power ready for about 18 hours of power

Potentially a Indoor growers worse nightmare, BLACKOUTS......Go Natural, Grow Outdoors, Never been a Black Out in Human History to my knowledge.

i have a solar panel and a battery bank and a inverter to power my lights and fans but where i live i dont think i will ever need to use it

Blackout isn't the end of the world.

Having darkness during the day period is far less dangerous than light in the dark period (in flowering).

go get a battery backup for a computer, plug in a couple cfls, you wont have a ton of light but enough that your girls wont think its night. plus because it plugs into the wall its always charged and will stay on when the power is out. just get the right size for the lights you want to run on it
