7 out of ten opened. It's been 5 days and the other 3 aren't doing anything. Are these duds or should I just wait a little longer?

Most likely duds, but you may get a late germination surprise. I would keep them around for another 10 days before tossing.

yea Ive had em take a week before, I assume yuh just germ'd them in the soil, if so they could take a while especially if the conditions aren't just right, Think of spring time, hot and Humid, but not to much humidity,

Yes wait it out. I have given up on seeds....used that same soil in other pots. And weeks later they sprout!
