Black spots, rotting?

I have no idea what is happening with this seedling. Is it heat stress, over nutes, mould, I have no idea. Any suggestions?

Feed it some veg nutes it's N def and about to die.

I mean I see what my eyes see, but yikes,.. what is it being grown in exactly?

That's what I was thinking. It hates that dirt for some reason. If that was in pro mix it would grow 6" easily without nutes.

How old is it?...What nutes are you giving it now?....IMO..Looks a little young to me to be receiving nutes this early.

It's just in normal top soil from a garden centre.

Probably to Acidic. Seriously, looks like Nute burn to me...try flushing the soil a couple times.

I thought it was growing in cake mix..Sorry it needs drainage too.

My .02 - it's over-feeding, heat stress, and too dry. Put it in a humidity dome (or sandwich bag) under CFLs for 2-4 days and I think you'll see it progress. Seedlings need humidity and there should be plenty of nutes in your soil for 30+ days. GL
