YetiGrow Inaugural Side by Side
Seed Stock: Black Skull Seeds Five-O
Lighting: 60 W Hans LED, 23W 2700K CFL, 23W 6500K CFL
Medium: GrowStone GS-3 w/Extreme Gardening Mycos premixed
Container: 5 Gal Aurora Root Pot

Scenario: Given two Black Skull Seeds Five-O AutoFlower, testing will be conducted based on our "Recipe" using our in house blend and one competing blend mixed based on our recipe.

The Humbolt County's Own brand is going head to head against the Cutting Edge Solutions Brand.
Both will be prepped based on our "recipe". Each Chow was prepped/charged for over a week then placed into the final containers. The seeds were then dropped into containers containing the base nute mix, using out recipe. The seeds will sit in the mixture for 24 hours starting 3/5/2016, then placed into their container for germination.

Hope this helps in seeing how nutes stack up side by side.

I will be posting here as well as on the usual places. The actual website will give me more freedom to post how I need to.

Day 0 3/5/2016 Beans Dropped.

After talking with Humbolt County's Own I was guided to Foliar Feed 1 tsp Deep Breath with 1 quart of water every 3-5 days. Lets see what happens.

What's up everyone.

Beginning of week 7, I switched the schedule to full bloom cycle. 12/12. Notice the Humboly County's Own is catching up to my "Recipe". I also took the 2 60w Hans Panels out to switch to the new Cidly Apollo 8 LED array. I started a hunt specifically for the LED to match the space. As usual with my grow, the goal is low power high output. That is what I loved about the Hans Panels. The 60w panel has the best output for its size, but alas for Autos it is great. I didn't feel it could handle what I needed to penetrate the canopy these beasts were producing. I have been in discussion with Hans however about his new 180w Panels. They will be on order as soon as I can scratch the funds. In mean time I did some research on a hunch and contacted Cidly, Ltd. They apparently are the original maker of the Apollo series and the rest of China duplicated or modified. Which is why everything looks a like BTW. KingLED/BossLED, etc., etc. There is another BIG name (Rhymes with Rind) who OEM's their stuff from there as well. The difference is how they spec'd it to the folks in China. Enough on that, I will give a separate review on the LED later.....

Week 10, late update. Too much fun at the Free the Plant event....good time overall, but the local law dogs were watching so we had to medicate on the down low.

Well it's week 13 from seed, day 56 of flower. We have a winner:

"The Recipe" wins for finish time. She is oozing. The Humbolt County's Own will probably win in weight. If you remember HCO was a slow starter, which makes sense on the slow finish. But in the transition weeks, she caught back up. I am gonna let her finish on her own and report back on dry weights and a smoke report of the Five-O.

In the meantime...gratuitous bud porn.
