Bio-dome Tote Grow Journal

Hello friends!

This is my first (serious) grow and I'm excited to hopefully use this Forum and Community as a valuable source of information, opinion and guidance to help develop and fine tune my skills as a successful gardner.

I will post as much info & photos as I can and please let me know if more info is needed..
Posts and opinions/suggestions are welcomed!

Gear:

1 x 300 watt Viparspectra LED

1 x 16.4Ft 5630 LED Strip light Warm White (for side lighting)

2 x 120mm (120volt) Fan for intake and out.

2 x 30 gallon rubber maid totes for DIY "space bucket" style grow.

1 x light timer

1 x hydro thermometer

Soil/Nutrients:

Solo cups to start

1 gallon pots (start of veg)

3 gallon smart pots for (veg/flower)

Green tree - Seed Starter Mix

Fox Farm - Ocean Forest (veg/flower)

Fox Farm - Grow Big

PH - Up/Down

Light Cycle:

24/0 - Seedlings
18/6 - Veg
12/12 - Flower

Strain:

4 x Unknown Bag Seed
1 x Blue Dream Bag Seed

Week one (Start Of Veg):

18/6 Light Cycle
1 gallon pots with saucers
80/20 Fox farm Ocean Forest/Green Tree Seed Starter
Tap water no nutrients.

Started out w/ Tap Water Unknown PH Level - (i know i know Noob move)

Transplanted from solo cups as seedlings..
Turned off side lights.
Led about 24-30 inches above plants.

Week 2 (Veg):
(Missing some photos)

Finally got some PH up down.
Still using tap water PH'd down to 6.0-6.5

PH was at 7.5-8.0 before!!
Plants were feeling the effects of this. (droopy sad looking brownish leaves forming)

Started adding Fox Farms Grow Big 1/2 teaspoon per gallon for the first feeding.. No adverse reactions.

Temps stay at around 75 degrees average 70 at night.
Humidity a little low 39 %

Week 3 Veg:

PH'd Tap water down to 6.0-6.5
Fox Farm Grow Big upped to 1 tsp per gallon.

Turned side lights back on.
Plants are really starting to take off and are on to their 3rd & 4th nodes!

Really bushy growth and minimal vertical growth.

Blue dream is taking off quite nice ahead of the others (bagseed)and the rest are lagging slightly behind except for the exception of 1 derpy ass plant that seems stunted or mutated?

Starting to think about topping and lst.... Maybe?

Week 3 (veg):
Midweek update

Plants looking great!
Beautiful green color no signs of nutrient stress or deficiency.

Starting to plan ahead... Unfortunately these are bag seeds and unknown if they are male or female.... Have to wait until they show sex to determine how much space i will need.

I really don't want to fit more than 1-2 plants in this tote..

Should i start topping now??
