Planning my second guerilla grow and was planning on using a bilge pump to get water to my site from a near by lake. My questions are how many G.P.H. should be good enough for the pump. Can a bilge pump pump water uphill? Seen one for 35 bucks. It pumped 500 G.P.H. would that be strong enought to pump water up a 15ft hill and then 2 football fields into the woods? and when its says it runs on 18v does that mean I can pulge it up to a car battery. BC a truck battery is going to be my power supply.

The flow of the pump has nothing to do with it's lift. The greater the lift, the harder the pump will have to work, make sure that the pump is rated for greater than 15ft, you don't want it working at 100% all the time. Me, I'd go for a pump with a 20 or 25 ft lift capacity.

I doubt a bilge pump unless its huge from a commercial ship is going to pump water up a hill and that far. Even if it could your battery would start losing juice when it finally did manage to get that far...a battery isint going to work for such distance. Try maybe a solar panel/ battery combo
