Biggest size pots under a 600 HID

How big do you want the plants to get? Pot size determines plant size, as a rule. Most varieties finish in 90 days or less
and do well in 3 gallon pots. If you are going to keep a plant longer than 90 days than moving to a 5 gallon pot is smart.

Well, you could go with huge pots, normal pots, or small pots. 3-5 gallon pots are very common so if you want to go "big" go with 7 gallon pots or larger.

I wany to try larger pots instead of more pots.would a 7g pot be much difference from 5g? Or should I just go with 4 plants in 5g? To me 4 is too many for a 600.

Hmm, well 3 females in 7gal under a 600w would be what I'd do. Unless you're doing a sea of green or a fast harvest kind of method, then bigger plants in bigger pots is ideal IMHO. (Longer veg time) I think it's a matter of opinion and the way you're growing. I'm doing a super soil method, where more soil is better.

I run 1 LST'd plant to ~1 square foot (2gal pots) under 600s trained and pruned like this:

For example, in a 3x3 room I'd run 7-9 plants like above. If 7, three down the center-line of the reflector and two on each side. All in 2gal pots. HTH
