Bigbang, Cheese, and Trainwreck grow

This is my third grow and my first INDOOR grow. I have had successful outdoor grows, and now I want to try my luck going indoors.

Because it will be my first time going indoors, I am making sure that this grow is well-planned.

I am just waiting for my seeds to arrive within this week. I ordered Feminised Green House seeds from everyonedoesit.com. I just ordered 5 Bigbang, 1 Cheese, 1 Trainwreck. It's a huge risk ordering just a few seeds, especially single ones from a strain because the germination rate is a crap shoot. But I am hopeful. Of all the seeds I have planted be it bagseed or from a seed bank, I always had 100% germination.

My green fingers are still crossed.

Grow Area: I will be constructing a grow tent, with some manly help. I concede that I cannot deal with power tools because my hands are too girly and small plus I wouldn't want to hurt my green thumb :weed:

My grow tent will be 3'x3'x6' and I will be using 400W lights. MH for veg, HPS for flowering.

My grow medium: Coco peat and perlite.

Nutrients: At the moment, I have an organic fert composed of Guano, Fish emulsion and Seaweed.

Ventilation: one intake, one extractor and one oscillating fan

Thanks for the company Grow4Joe :)

Trainwreck has sprouted and the 5 Bigbangs seem to be on their way. Hopefully I will get 100% germination.

The cheese on the other hand is a different matter because it arrived somewhat cracked/crushed. I notified this to the seed seller and I have yet to hear their response.

There has been a major change in the lighting. Instead of going MH for veg, I will be using HPS all the way.

I also plan to buy CANNA COCO A & B for nutrients. I hear they are very good.

I will set up my grow tent on Tuesday and I will be posting photos of that.

I'm pulling up a chair as well. Very interested in this grow, nice choice of seeds! What's the reasoning for ditching the MH?

Hello Dr. RR! It's a pleasure to have you! :)

I couldn't find any switchable ballasts from where I live, and I can't afford to buy two ballasts. I found plenty of cheap ones on ebay but the shipping charge is ridiculous :( To compensate for the lack of MH light, I plan to set the plants under the sun during the day for the first two weeks of growth when the plants are still small. Just to avoid the stretching.

As of now, two bigbang seeds have already sprouted while the remaining three are still on their way. My germination style by the way has always been planting seeds directly in the medium after I soak them in a glass of water for 12-24 hours.

The cheese seed was in a small zip lock packet. Everything came in a brown padded envelope. I remember the previous package I ordered from everyonedoesit.com last June came thoroughly wrapped in bubble wrap. This package did not.

Its simple common sense to send something like seeds in bubblewrap, its not like you could miss it..:dunce:

Thats refreshing to hear dat man :bigjoint:
I see and hear alot of people setting up grows without even knowing the very basics....I've not been growing long myself and i'm no expert, but i did alot of research etc into growing before i started.. It helps alot if you know what your doing first, but you're always learning new s**t as you go anyway..
just wanted to add dat man,
Happy growing

Four of my bigbang seedlings have sprouted and survived. I will not be posting seedlings pictures yet, I will wait until they are at least 3 weeks old.

I will be making another seed order to replace the cheese. I'm actually thinking of going over the top and order a fresh new 10 pack of Mandala seed's HASHBERRY. I know this is not the same as what is intended in the beginning but I have lost my trust in Green House seeds and now I want to grow a more reputable and respectable seed breeder which is MANDALA.

(BTW the trainwreck seedling did not make it also)

So guys, when I receive the mandala seedlings, I will make another grow journal because I will be growing BIGBANG AND HASH BERRY instead.

I know most of you want to see Cheese and Trainwreck but I hope you will still be interested and still keep tabs.

Anyway, here are two photos of the unfinished grow tent. We didn't finish it because we ran out of screws and were already too lazy to run to the hardware store lol bongsmilie

We will finish the tent by the end of the week lol

Again, dimensions are 3.2'x3.2'x6'
