Big tray

I am planing to do 10x5 DTW, option is to get hard plastic 4x4 tray or 5x5 flexi tray. I would like bigger one because I can use whole 5x5, but how's with those flexys? Any idea how to mount them higher on floor, drill hole for runoff? Or any other idea with trays and DTW?

Purchase a flood table of whatever size you want and custom build a PVC stand for it. Mount a bulkhead fitting in the front bottom of the table and incline the table towards the front. All the run off will drain to the front and run out of the bottom where you can use a tray or other drainage options.

Yea, thanks, I was thinking with wood.
But ... about flexi trays... the soft ones... How to install them? Are they reeeeally soft or "semi soft"?

I'd pass on the wood. PVC is cheaper and extremely easy to work with. Not to mention water/moisture isn't going to cause issues like it could with wood.

I don't know what a flexi tray is so I couldn't comment. Active Aqua make great flood tables like in the picture above. If you have a grow shop near you that's a better bet then having it shipped out. They are quite rigid and hold plenty of weight with a support under them. (One PVC crossmember is all I used to support mine)

I would go with smaller trays. The smaller the better really. Big trays make working in tents rough, and if you ever decide to ebb and flow a big tray takes way more water. The only real benefit is if you accidentally flood your room.
