You mean these? http://fcopto.com IDK why they didn't catch on they have been out for years seems like they could've upped effeciency and lowered price by now.
Yea. That's them flip chip Octo.

I contacted them about testing one. Not necessarily me. Just that letting a few people test them would help. They advertised on here for a while. When actually talking to them they didn't seem that eager to get thier product out.

I think they would work in a large factory type grow.

I got a pair of the 4 in a row confiruation with citi 1212 cobs in 3k for my new flower room. The lights were very reasonable and I have to cover more space for a more reasonable price.

They shipped to my door in 4 days from China. There was 45 dollars of duty on the pair of lights so the total cost was 394 USD dollars for 480 watts in 8 citizen cobs or 524.00 CDN.

To compare the samsung strip board i bought has 238 watts of power and cost 350 with shipping (700 for the pair if i went that route)

The lights have a potentiometer which i did not see mentioned in the specs. That is a great thing.

The lights are quite heavy but they have fans cooling the cobs within a housing. I am glad i am mounting these to wooden ceiling joists.

They will work for my system. If they dont they will sell on kijii and i am making strip fixtures. I think they will grow great. When i get it all up and running i will start a new grow journal and we shall see. I am going to run heisenbeans purple punch and something else.

I asked the people at Geyapex and or Hortibloom if I paid half for a Mega B4
I would do a journal on here this light list for $1099 on the website. Said best price is $599 order on the website of course you can't change the price so then she says to order direct from her said the website wasn't updated so ok I wanted this with Samsung leds said they don't have any even though it's an option on the website doesn't say it's unavailable. Also if you go to their site it doesn't say anything about being shipped from China and you have to pay the extra charges.
Seems kinda fishy to me.

I've been quoted shipping prices from China for 150 to 190 for each light so split the difference 170 dollars shipping free shipping on these lights so 500 dollar discount and free shipping it's actually a 429 dollar light with a 1100 dollar price tag

The extra charges are duty. From USA to CDA there is zero duty on lighting. From China to Canada there is duty and from China to the USA there is probably duty,

Hortibloom is not responsible for the duty. That is pretty standard for any international shipment. Including Canada to USA and vice versa.

Shipping was included. The lights cost 180 each and that was it plus 22.50 for duty shipped to my Canadian door in 4 days. If this were produced in Canada i would have paid a bit more for sales tax so it is a wash.

The lights are robust. They work and I bet they grow great. I cant wait to try them

I'm saying that on the website it doesn't tell you that I'm not disputing the duty cost but it should be clear on the extra expense

I stand corrected. The lights i bought were the ones on sale LUMA B4
But it says global free shipping on that one too.

For Canada I would estimate the duty to be on par with our 13% sales tax.

I haven't been keeping up with developments of LED grow lights for the last 5/6 years so would something like this be a big upgrade compared to a 240W VIPARSPECTRA LED grow light that I have which has a 80w power consumption and is around 6 years old?

You guys probably have never heard of the brand it's only a cheap grow light I bought and it's great for veg but yields are rather poor so maybe it's time for a upgrade.

it is 240 actual watts of cob. It would be like 240 actual watts of vipar only less purple and more awesome.
