Big Problems never seen before?

I went to go check on a few of plants yesterday and was devestated at what I saw!

Here's the breakdown: the strain is " the church " from clone. Soil was ammended with chicken shit and compost added to native soil for veg. Nutes are 2tsp fox farm BB, 1tsp molases, 4 tsp nitrozyme sea kelp all dilluted in 1 gal water each only fed 1-2 times with this to trigger flowering then I just topped dressed with high P seabird guano about 2 tbls in a 2 foot diameter, and this hasnt burnt any other of my plants. I spray with neem oil , and I should mention that I had quite a slug/snail problem this year due to the non-stop rain almost everyday!

So the first plant I visited was completely destroyed. All the leaves were dead drooping down dried up and starting to rot, the part that I dont understand is that all of the bud was fine no mold whatsoever. The other thing that was very strange to me was that when I started pullin off dead stuff the main cola just fell off the plant about 8inch long. I know it cant be nute burn as I saw it once after I fed it and it was fine, but it did have some severe slug/snail bites? I dont have a pic of it but here is another one that is around the same area thats acting equally funny, but not as bad a slug prob?

All 4 pics are of second plant I mentioned. I know it was definately low on N and I suspect Fe to be the problem with the discoloration of the main cola. I fed it the above nutes and sprayed some neem around, I'm still a little scared though cause I've never had problems like this outdoors... ever!

sorry for the long post, just wanted be specific. Thank you to those of you for taking the time to read it!

P.S The brown spots on the top cola in the second pic has me stumped, could this be a disease or mold of some sort, I have no experience in disease problems, aside from the OD growers beloved botrytis/budrot. Thanks again!

I've used organic flowering nutrients on it twice and it's been raining alot, and to top it all off the native soil is rocky clay type soil, so I would assume the ph is on the acidic end of the scale. I think I may have made it worse today because I fed it a 3 part tea of fox farm big bloom, liquid kelp, and molases because I have never had issues with ph outdoors before so I chalked it up to being deficient.

Anyway, does anyone have any experience with raising outdoor ph? I dont think ph'd water will cut it, I was thinking about watering in some sort of lime or gypsum but I heard doing that can be lethal if not done properly? any experienced suggestions much appreciated! I dont have the resources to take soil samples and ph my water everytime... its a guerrilla grow I was hoping to rely mostly on mother nature as I have done successfully in past grows.

Also has anyone ever had ALL the leaves die and start rotting but the buds were nice and green with no mold at all, I've only sprayed it with the reccomended solution of neem oil and this plant was definately not over fed?

I am very dissapointed with greenhouse's the church thus far, plants are way to small for outdoors and they have not been holding up very well, I most likely will not waste another season fighting with this strain for what looks like a horribly small yeild, were talkin 2 ounce per plant for a fully mature 5-6 foot plant that has been out since early may. It just isnt worth the time!

I would suggest that you get some wood ash, about a cup around the plant to raise your ph and give your soil a nice organic boost. I put wood ash on twice during the outdoor grows. Hope this helps.

hi there, im currently looking to grow the church outdoor in the uk this season and i got a few questions about this strain.

you said that the flowering wasnt all that good and for a 6 foot plant, what was your ph during the flower cycle because i have watched the video on you tube and it says that it should be 5.5ph. im looking to use subcools super soil aswell witch im sure the ph would be normal and i would have to bring it down when flowing starts. if n e 1 else has any info on this strain that would help me to get a good first time grow.

regards perkie

I have a plant that I thought initially was just yellowing towards the end of flowering, but it advanced quickly and now 60% of the leaves are toasted and ugly, despite some fantastic looking buds and very green leaves remaining. No idea why, I used neem oil twice and have been very light on nutes with it, maybe too light. But this is a different strain in a different hemisphere and indoors, not out, so who knows. I would buy 2 o 3 of the cheapest soil test kits you can find and check and recheck the soil PH (to verify the readings). Even if it is too late to fix it, at least you will know whether it was PH or nutes or whatever. Could be disease or something due to all the rains you said you got.
