Big Bud from Seed 2nd try

Built an add on to my office in order to maximize my opportunity this past weekend. It's about 5' x 4'. I bought a Nextgen 1000w digital ballast, a 1000w sunmaster bulb, and a 6" hood as well. I normally use alumifoil fr inside the grow room, but decided on using the thick plastic that is black on one side and white on the other. Now all I need to do is install the intake vents (unless I decide to pipe A/C directly into the closet) and exhaust ducting and fan (will exhaust into attic directly underneath a twirly bird), and I'll be good to go.

Watered the veg plants that will be living in this new space. They're doing very well, all of them, including the new seedlings (that aren't seedlings any longer).

I did manage to get two more clones from Str8. Basically I just topped the two main branched that came from the previous topping. I should be able to make 4 main branches now.

All the clones are doing well in the cloner. In fact, so well, I may need to rush the job of moving them into their new home in order to get them the nutrients they're going to want real soon.

Well...I transferred the veg plants into the new room before being able to exhaust it, just to test it out. It's staying pretty hot in the room, but I dont have the exhaust fan rigged up yet, so it was expected. I don't close the door, and have a fan pointed in with two inside the room. Average temp is upper 80's. Going to trying a bucket of ice water behind the fan pointing in today, that should cool it down a lot.

So I had the light a bit too close to the plants and burned some. I also over nuted the last feeding (I was transplanting two plants and figured I would give full strength). So for the next few feedings it will be just water. I had some leaves being burned by the CFL's I had them under (it was way too cramped to keep them in that area), so I wanted to move them into the new soon to be flower room. I now also have to deal with the dogs tasting the plants. They're learning not to go into the room, but its the first time they've been able to have unattended access to them, so I'm finding a few leaves missing some parts.

Picture 553 is Str8, shes growing well, aside from the aforementioned burns
Pic 554 is Bendy, much of the same as Str8
Pic 555 is RGS, the major burn on her leaves is from the CFL's, she's also a little over watered and was runt bound, but recovering nicely
Pic 556 is Runt, she's likely going to get transferred into a bigger pot thursday, if not sooner
Pic 557 is the bag seed I was given, it's looks like it might be female, but too early to tell. She was also root bound and very droopy, but she too is recovering
Pic 559 are clones waiting to show roots. They're in the bubble cloner, and appear to be almost read to shoot roots
Pic 558 is the perlite box with clones that already have roots. I do have some leaves int he box, as I was just testing to see if fan leaves taken at the node would work well (not good so far, but no extra effort)

The rest of the photos are from inside my current flower room. Those plants (unknown strain, but were from clone) are on the apple juice/water diet. They'll be hung to dry this Sunday. the light really messes with the cell phone cam, but you can see the biggest cola in 562. They're my first grow ever, two plants, about 7 feet tall, and sticky & stanky as hell. I've had two colas snap a few weeks ago, so I dried that, and while it did taste green, it gave me hope. This morning while pulling off a few shriveled fan leaves, I pulled a smaller lower nug off. It's drying now for another later test bowl ;).

So my small first time grow finished up just after my last post. The 2 plants, dried, groomed, and weighed was about 5.25oz. It was the dankest shit I've ever seen. People that tried it have said "this is the best shit I've smoked, and I've been smoking for 10 years" to "I'm going to get my card and have you grow my shit". Not a single negative comment about it. So, I attached a shot of half the yield along with one bag of trimmings that ended up in brownie mix, and had people actually falling over after 2 brownies.

I also haven't for gotten the big bud grow. I did end up with one male and one hermi. But the rest seem to be growing as planned. The hermi is still alive, but has been relocated, and I visit it daily looking for balls to remove. Worst case, it all gets cooked, best case, it's not too seedy and tastes good.

So, here are the pictures of the new grow addition from Nov 4th

11/17 the male has been removed and replaced with a clone taken from one to the big buds. It will continue to grow in the hydro pots that the previous grow was using. They were put into 12/12 on 11/10, so this is flowering for one week.

Replaced the hermi with another previously taken cutting. Moved the hermi back in for one day because I wasn't positive yet it was a hermi.

Moved a maxar x afghan cross seed my lady had been growing naturally (no additives, only sun shine through a window or outside.

She wanted to see how a plant would grow naturally without any nute's given to it (not very well). so now I moved one into the grow room to take the hermi's place.

No pictures of the flower room, but did some rework on the veg area. Installed a new MH bulb instead of the HPS I was using.

The two biggest on the left are big bud clones, the 3rd on the left is an Alaskan Ice from seed. She'll get the clone job this weekend.

The right side is a mix of the strain I grew in my first grow (it has been dubbed "Carpet Ride"), a mazar x afghan clone, another alaskan ice sprout, a lemon skunk sprout, and 4 more big bud clones. This is referred to as "Kinder Garden" (I know its supposed to be kindergarten). The flowering area is referred to as the "Classroom". I also have 5 other big bud clones growing in the shoe box bubbler from a few posts back, we callt hat pre-school.

I'll have more pictures this weekend. The students are already popping with fruit. I am super excited to see how they come out.

Just another shot of the room along with some close ups (at least as close as my cell phone will take).

Thanks for the comment, I've got about $2k into the entire setup. A lot of things are DIY from here or form friends that are int he know.

More pictures from 12/10

Still having an issue with one of the plants. It may have an infection or just not like the water ph. I've been trying different things, nothing has fixed it yet. The bigger hydro plants were moved to the back with the soil being the first to finish, and smaller, it looks better.

Here is a shot of the hermi I ended up with. It's been moved out side, and survived our last storm. It's turned purple because of the cold, but seeing how the only other option was to kill it, I think I should get a nice size harvest from her, shes very sticky and smells really nice.

How far in flowering You are? And how big is the odor?

Hope, They will get much more bigger, so You gonna have a very nice yield.

Thanks, the three up front just started their 2 week flush. The other 3 are staggered a week apart after the first 3 are done. The odor isn't too bad, I exhaust it into my attic directly under a whirly bird. So it leaves the house instantly.
