how do you guys make it in the winter? it's getting so cold outside that it's becoming painful to extract outside in the garage, any suggestions?

I would imagine an electric hotplate and multiple layers of clothing.
Or, is it time to make full-melt bubble (A.K.A cold water extraction.)
 
I ran some last night and just opened the side door to the house and ran it in the doorway. I'm not running more than a can ever so I'm not too worried about it exploding as long as there is fresh air. I atleast don't have to freeze out in the garage
 
i make it in my kitchen turn off electricty at mains

boil water first , put boiling water in the sink open the window , then put the dish in the sink never had a problem with it
 
I do it in a small bathroom with A LOT of airflow, and of course turn everything on first, heat the water first, no smoking anywhere in the house til after the purge. I don't even open the fridge just in case. No sparks, no boom.
 
You guys are ballsy ...I wait for a nice day like tomorrow or Tuesday....where did you get that terpenator?

Heavy gas, twice as much as air. It goes somewhere, when I hear good air flow I hope that means exhausting it somewhere and not just pushing it around a room, or house, it will eventually end up at the lowest point.

Extracting the gas using a fan and flex duct out a window/garage door is used. Either way ground level ozone sucks.


I support skirulz's idea completely though.

I do it with a window open and exhaust fans on. Fresh air is constantly moving the gas, which boils at 32 degrees, so chances of the gas sticking around long or "bouncing around the house" are slim to none.
 
how does one reclaim the butane with the terpenator? i would think the device would need to be below freezing to keep the butane from gassing up, or at least the butane collection chamber. please enlighten me skirulz
