what techniques do you use to process your bho/ extracts. I was curious to know if you found one way works better than another in our environment. i'm aware that the end product that the oil will become can be different (butter, suckers, BIG FAT DABS!!!) and that can change the process. but what has been the most simple and reliable way for you to process your extract?

Also, has anyone heard of/tried blasting the butane into a warm water bath rather than a dry glass pan?

well, i got intrigued...then i got consumed and obsessive so i did it.

holy fuckin whoa! blown into hot/warm water, then set in an ice bath. thoughts?

chemical solvent extracts.....

bubble hash has little to no processing, though I enjoy my bags thoroughly, I want to hear about various solvent techniques from around the valley

I love my Oil/wax. Took me about a pound of blasting(over time) to get picture worthy results! Tokecity probably has the best community to learn from. Best advice: Don't whip and when you think your done purging... Your not! Purge and purge and purge until there's no bubbles even the little ones.

I've blasted anywhere from 10g-100g and find the middle(50-70g) seems to be a good manageable amount for me.

Although whipping will get rid of the 'tane it also ruins the turpintines and kills some of the taste. From my experience the clearer the oil the more potent and taste it will have. I personally purge over a boiler. Last 70g batch took me 6+ hours to purge onlow heat. (Don't exceed *150)

My next step is getting a vaccum and working on that.

I wouldn't exceed 120 I found anythig over this will leave a burnt taste in the wax. I have to vacuum purge for about 16 hrs to get it nice and wax like. That's with a 5 cfm vac

just curious,do food savers that have a tube for jars work for purging meaning or they even strong enough?

thx.....Ive saved up about 30g's of primo sugar leaf (dried) and been wondering what to do with it.Ive only gotten medicated (like I like and want) once after countless 5xxx strength edibles so im a little skeptical about making butter and the last time I tried making BHO it wasnt all that great mostly i think cuz it wasnt purged right but if poster above gets a good run from just a hot water bath maybe I should give it another shot.Which means ill prolly go re-read a million bogas ass threads on making BHO from clueless window lickers intent on spreading their fucked upped ways........

........or i could try and find a copy of C&C's Big Bambu with the paper still in it and roll a phatty ;)

Thats Aesome! I remember sometime in 83 or 84 having some older cousins who were trimmers for some peeps up in humboldt and brought back several black trash bags of popcorn buds and trim one time and there went my paper....lolz stupid me,now its worth something.

lolz....thats kinda funny cuz when he answered me I thought fuck yeah,mr verde himself becuase I have been all through that thread dozens of times only to be side tracked because of the heavy trolling and misinformation.If you can stay focused long enough you can get some awesome info from the masters which I have tried but have found what works for others doesnt always work for me and besides,that thread just makes me jealous as hell and wish i could have all the cool gadgets and tools to make some proper shit.Prolly why I hadnt responded lol but I did make a nice batch of canna butter and on my second attempt as I type this another BHO run.The first didnt get purged all the way cuz it still crackled when I melted it but it did melt.Im on the 10th water bath and dont think its doing much good.If I ever get some extra cash I wanna give one of those hand brake bleeders a shot.

yep hot water is how you are supposed to do it i use boiling water multiple times no vac and get great results

All about the amount of 'tane you use in the wash.. More liquid in your dish, more solvents you end up with....
